FAQ:
  • What is this thread? A massive collection of limited edition games & other attributing items, included with links.
  • Why put it all in one thread? More traffic due to collaborating interests.
  • Why is that important? This keeps the thread popular and doesn't risk a failed CE from falling through the cracks unnoticed.
  • What can be discussed here? Anything relevant to what is posted.
  • Why make another CE compilation? Karma.
  • Where are the big pictures? Still here, scroll down. Due to the increased number of CEs, a preface post is needed.
  • When is the Final Fantasy XVI CE? Not announced. Granted, IF it does, you can bet I will devote an entire page to it.
  • What about other CEs that have been announced? Give me a minute. It takes a bit of time to format the title, price, date, & retailer links in correctly.
  • What about the Book/Steelbook/Console/Misc. Picture Posts? I condensed the thread. Not necessary to include pictures for all those items. They will still be included in the Everything List post.

I can't get past like 2 enemies in that game... playing that makes me wonder how people played some NES games. And I don't think that's even considered a "hard" NES game, is it?

No I don't think so. People are against it because it's side scrolling vs Zelda 1/3.

I've been waiting for a price drop on the Switch CE. May just grab PS5 version instead since it's my main platform.

I was about to link the NES championship on one of my Discords so people could order it. Then I remembered that these guys are all like 28-33 years olds and have no memory and zero nostalgia for the original NES. like they won't even touch the stuff.

It's really weird when you get in conversations with people whom are super fervent about Final Fantasy, how it's their favorite GOAT, best series ever, you talk about the games a lot, and only later do you find out that they started with FFX or FF7 and they have no concept of the stuff which came before it.

Guys that age don't do traditional jrpgs. They certainly have no interest or patience in the NES platforming, side-scrolling era of gaming. The latter of which makes complete sense, really.

This set is literally aimed at people only 35-40+. Or dependent on how old your hand-me-down gaming systems were. Younger millennials have basically no concept of Atari or NES. They don't go back to "revisit" the 16bit era of gaming. It doesn't exist for them.
