The community's goal was to have seven BILLION campaign kills by Bungie Day. July 7th is Bungie Day and has a lot of significance to Bungie.
Why are we doing this? Well, to show Bungie how much their fanbase cares.
Is there a reward? No one knows, but some people are guessing Recon armor.
Bungie is providing us a new map, Cold Storage, for absolutely free come July 7th. Along with the new free map, we get free gamer pics and free Halo 3 themes.
All you need to do to participate is connect to XBL, through either Silver or Gold, and play any version of campaign (you can do local co-op, online co-op, normal single player, etc). Your kills will be counted.
