Why the game is no more sold on Steam [Developer annoucement]
Due to a conflict between Alkemi (ie. us) and Topware, we have decided to terminate the publishing agreement for Transcripted. This termination is now subject to litigation between Alkemi and Topware. The matter is now handled by german justice and... I can't say much more than that. Hopefuly when the subject is resolved the game will be back in the store.

I'm deeply sorry to say that it means indeed that the game won't be updated for the time being.

Well that sure isn't stopping them from doing so.

I would suggest contacting GetGames and informing them of the situation. I bought the game before it was pulled from Steam and liked it a lot, you guys really should get paid for it. Hope you win your legal fight.

Topware still sells the game at their store for Twelve Euros. Topware's games have been featured in Groupees bundles quite a bit. So it's probably them.

Obviously without...

Well I was originally steamed that the game was offered in a bundle. I had purchased the game well before it when it was on a daily sale and still in the Steam store. Seeing this bit of ugliness on part of a publisher has calmed me a bit, given that, while I had paid far more to get this game, at least some of said money went to Korbill, right?

Nope ! Sorry to disappoint you, but even the early sales didn't make its way from Steam to us. That's one of the reason for the conflict between us and our publisher. Well, actually that's the MAIN reason. We've earned 0 euro since the release of the game, absolutely nothing.

wow, that is unacceptable.
I wonder why Topware would decide to be so douchey about it. It doesn't make them look good, and surely it isn't legal.

According to Capsule Computers representative on the groupees chat, they are looking into the matter right now.

I hope "looking into the matter" means doing something about it.

Well, this Groupees is just more evidence against Topware. Hope you can use this in your lawsuit against them. Topware's just... scummy.

If it is any consolation, Krobill, I really enjoy Transcripted and think it is a work of art.

Unfortunately, I bought YOUR game from today's Groupees bundle without knowing about all this drama. Sorry it's going this way for you when you released such a great game.

No worry. Knowing that Transcripted has been really enjoyed by at least a few people is a satisfaction for me in itself, a confirmation that we're worth something in the game industry. Of course, It would have made a lot easier the production of our next title to earn at least a little something but hey, we found ways for Transcripted, we can do it again.

What is maddening is that I intented to make Transcripted evolve in time. The game was released nearly a year ago now and obviously we couldn't invest any more time in this project. We already barely survived economically the end of last year, it would have been suicide to spend more time to add content to it.

We will be back soon, with a vengeance !

I also bought the bundle on the spot, thought it meant everything was settled, and i took it as sign of good faith. The game is pretty good from what ive seen so far. Voice acting, gameplay, mechanics, graphics, animations, effects, everything is superbly done, especially considering it's an indie title. Even the story is well built, and it has some sort of scientific accuracy in it.
I can only wish that the devs (and you, off course) will get their share, and also that it will come back to steam so that more people can play and enjoy it

Along with Ion Assault it's one of the shooters that i enjoyed the most, i mean considering the little i've played, but i'll surely come back to those two games later on

What would happen if you activated the game?

Edit: It works.
