Even the best pcs (with high ram, ssd, good videocard) lags with AOK:HD. Not to mention the multiplayer lag and some scenario crashes/bugs.
But seriously, regarding the OP, personally I've never had lag offline and I use a pretty low-end laptop so I would hazard a guess and say you should check your settings both in and out of game and in the case you have updates disabled, see if there are any updates you missed as they released one today that may have addressed your particuler issue about buildings (don't quote me on that, search it yourself).
Regarding lobbies, I can't help there as I only play with my friends as I like to know the people who hand my ass to me.
As for the AI, it seems there are some others making comments on the AI currently, so that might actually be something that requires an investigation of sorts but they seemed to me to be the same AI who can destroy me in under 20 minutes if they so chose to.
And as two previous post have said, you can set your own hotkeys so at least that's something 100% valid.
So yeah, gist of the message, everythings fine on my end so I can only recommend you check your settings and if you seriously dislike the game, at least you bought it on sale...
Maybe people in the EU aren't playing because the World Cup is on. That's why I haven't been playing :P Go Germany!
If runs fine means with low fps and a laggy screen-scroll, and crashing some scenarios that AOK (default) doesn't crashes, ok. But no, it doesn't runs fine - Just take a look into the default AOK and there you'll see that this 15 old game runs smoother than the lazy-made HD version, from 2014.
Not to mention the additional bugs and etc. And also, a good game need a stable singleplayer and multiplayer, not only one of them, but neither AOK:HD have.
Regarding multiplayer, currently the AoF and base lobby are separate. I'd suggest switching to the base game and checking multiplayer there, you are likely to see a higher number of games. We are looking into ways to combine lobbies to avoid the confusion.
Finally please do not launch personal attacks here.
