It pains me to see so many people jump on the dev for things that are out of his control. He can't force Desura or Bundle sites to update. All he can do is email them to find out what the problem is. I'm not terribly worried though as I'm sure it will all work out ^_^

Since Linden Labs bought Desura, Steam key distribution hasn't been universal. Usually, it only seems to distribute to people who either bought it directly on Desura or Indie Royale and not those who received a Desura key any other way.

Ultimately, it's easiest to ensure delivery just to ask Valve for a batch of keys and allow the individual bundle sites (Groupees, IGS, Indie Gala, whatever) to distribute them directly.

looking forward to finally playing this game, had some issues installing it via desura, hope that with it being in steam i'll be able to get it to run. Now to just wait for keys to get updated.

Give him a break, this is ONE guy, not a dev studio. Its not within his control to make Desura fix this. I appreciate the fact its annoying not to get access as promised, but I have no doubt it will happen. Until then, play it from Desura if you cant wait :)

This is exactly what I'm doing lol. Though I'm looking forward to dominating the leaderboards when I get my steam key hehe.

Same thing just happened with Oniken, after awhile all you had to do was use the same desura code and redeem it. groupees code doesn't work yet, so i say just try pasting your desura codes every so often and hope it'll eventually give you the game instead of an invalid code.

I got my game from Gold Bundlestars bundle. Honestly i assumed we wouldnt be getting a steam key but if you guys can get us one that would be cool.

if the oniken situation is anything to go by, i wouldnt go holding my breath waiting for this to be resolved. makes you wonder why they insist on going this route when other devs are able to get keys up directly on the bundle sites almost immediately

Tower of Guns devs ware able to give steam keys 2 weeks before game will be relesed on steam.

You do understand that generating steam keys is a long process and takes quite a bit of time right? The dev most likely has already supplied keys and this is a desura issue now. So if you want to be a bratty little kid and whine because you have to wait for a game that you can easily play on desura if you want to so baddly than go right ahead.

So how come the Tower of Guns dev put his keys up 2 weeks pre-Steam?

We all buy their games in alpha/beta and also vote to get them on steam so they have a shot to hit it big $$$$$$

They at least owe us to have our keys ready before the game gets on steam.

The developer did attempt to have things ready. Only when things have gone past the deadline can you figure out that something went wrong. Give 'em some time.
