Question about eBay/PayPal situation

So I sold a game on eBay and the buyer paid immediately. I looked at the PayPal payment, and in the little box, it says "OK to ship". However, the address doesn't say confirmed and it doesn't say that I'm eligible for seller protection.

But when I go to print a shipping label, under the "Ship to" section, it says the address status is confirmed. So what's the deal? Should I just go ahead and ship it?

you would never have this problem if you set your paypal account to block payment from unconfirmed address.

I'm positive I had that selected before. But now when I check my settings, I don't even see that option. The only one that shows up about unconfirmed addresses is this:

Block Payments for the items not sold on eBay from U.S. users who do not provide a confirmed address: Yes/No

It says Confirmed in the screen shot. It won't say "Paypal confirmed", as I don't think it ever has, and I have sold a lot of things on ebay.

Yeah, but compare the first shot to this one I got from a payment from a CAG member recently. On this one, the payment page itself says the address is confirmed. It also says that it's eligible for seller protection.
hmmm how much feedback did the guy have on ebay? and whats the %
374, 100%. But this is the first thing they've bought in 3 months. On the other hand, maybe I'm just worrying too much.

Yes, you are worrying too much. The big obnoxious box telling you it's OK to ship is apparently a new Paypal feature, and I guess the point is to make it easier to determine whether or not it's safe to ship to the buyer. Normally, you'd have to scroll down and look whether the address is confirmed or not, but now you can tell right away.

If a buyer with a feedback score of 374 and 100% isn't good enough for you, then who is?

Yeah, you're right. I guess I'll go ahead and ship it.
