While I have yet to buy Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (financial issues, aka, I’m broke), I have had the opportunity to watch this series on USA Network called Psych. My girlfriend and I polished off the first three seasons over the last two weeks and so far I am thoroughly impressed. James Roday stars as Shawn Spencer, lead Psychic Detective for the Santa Barbara Police Department. If anyone reading this has seen the show, you no doubt know that James Roday can be quite the comedian. His fast-paced, witty 80’s references fit him perfectly.

While slightly shorter than the Uncharted character Nathan Drake, I think James Roday would be perfect for the role given Roday buffs up just a little bit. His attitude, personality, and humor fit the role to a tee and paired up with a great supporting cast, I think he would be ideal for the rumored Uncharted movie. Thoughts?

Obviously not you so why don't you go post elsewhere instead of wasting my time :)

You wasted your own time when you posted an out loud thought about an actor in the General Gaming & Industry News section. Your post has nothing to do with general gaming or industry news. It has more to do with a blog entry which CAG allows you to do.

Have you ever heard of the game (GAME being the keyword) Uncharted?

You aren't talking about the game. You are talking about the rumored movie.

Which happens to be based on a game...

Anyway, I took your advice and made a blog post, thanks :D

I'm completely fine with that, but I just thought I'd throw James Roday out there. His personality and humor are perfect, and he looks similar enough to warrant a look at least.
Sorry, the role belongs to Nathan Fillion.

Oh, I never knew who he was. I just kept seeing people on forums drooling over his voice acting.

Nathan Fillion...

The reason I've played ODST three times.

He is Captain fucking Hammer for Christ's sake!
If you only know Nathan Fillion from his voice acting then you should be shot!
Haha, I only know him by name, seeing people getting excited mentioning him on game forums. Never watched Firefly, not familiar with his other work, I typically don't like space as a setting.

You should watch Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along blog, then.

Probably because you never watched Firefly.

I whole-heartedly approve of the sentiment, intention, and speculation in this thread.

I personally fall on the Fillion over Roday side because Psych is more about comedy from non sequitor and running/screaming in the face of dead bodies/mummies. The weakness of the series is when Shawn (Roday) tries to act serious or engage in any action (see Friday's painful episode).

P.S. As a Psych fan, what do you think of Burton Guster as Nathan Drake? That dude is the fucking man.
