Any Hoosiers Attending the Thursday 9/28 Nintendo Fusion Tour Show?
I would but tickets are too expensive and the bands suck.
Bands? I'm going to play the new console.

and I'm not kidding... Never even heard of the bands.

I'll probably be there with a friend, just gotta take a math test at 6pm and then go.

Not going for the bands though, but it seems like a good opportunity to try out the Wii. I hope Zelda is one of the games playable, but Metroid, Wario Ware and Wii Sports should be cool. Maybe there'll be some free stuff too.

The bands are horrible kiddie bands and the crowd is going to be teenie boppers. I'm expecting a 3 hour line to play the Wii...I'd rather just wait until my preorder comes in on launch day.

I'd consider it if I wasn't sure that 95% of the people there will be under 16, and if Nintendo hadn't overpriced their new console by $50 and summarily lost my interest because of it.

Overpriced at $250? I think it's a pretty good price, especially when you adjust for inflation and compare it to all the other Nintendo launch prices over the years.

NES - $364 (Original price in 1985, $200)
SNES - $293 (Original price $200)
N64 - $254 (Original price $200)
GC - $225 (Original price $200)

This is Nintendo's first console launch price bump in over 20 years, and considering the added cost and features of this system, I think it's justified. But since it's Nintendo, wait 6 months and you'll be able to buy one for $200.
