If the Magicka going on sale jokes haven't made it clear, there is really no rush to buy it now. It never gets cheaper than this outside of bundles, but it drops to -75% almost every week (really $2.49 ought to just be MSRP at this point). Can't comment on if it is fun single player, but most people seem to agree it is only worth playing with some friends.
I see I guess ill pass on it for now. Thanks!

I'm fairly new to steam and have a lot of games that I plan on buying if the price is right,So my 2 questions are....Is Magicka a good single player game or will I need to play with friends to really enjoy it? And do you guys think Magicka will be cheaper in the coming weeks?
If your serious I'll just give you magicka for free. I think I still have some keys wasting away.

Voted Reus and I really hope it wins. New flash deals are meh since I either own them all or have no interest. Also all of you are posting to much.

I just looked into the Steam Achievement Manager tool folks have been talking about here, and I kinda don't care how useful it is. What the hell is with this "This server is not run by faggots" crap?! I don't know if it's some kind of bizarre internet humor, but I don't want to download anything from this kind of douchebag.

Pretty much if you go past the "surface" of the Internet, everyone is calling everyone a faggot :/ you can thank 4chan and such for this, full of people with no life trying to be edgy/have an I don't give a fuck attitude.

I'd exercise caution with this tool. A bunch of people here have pointed out that it probably violates Steam's terms of service. I've never heard of anyone losing their account over it, but it's also not a risk I'd be willing to take.
Pretty much as long as you don't actually use it to unlock/re-lock your achievements, and you don't use it with any games with VAC, you're good. The most they will do is take away the times you could get from unlocking certain achievements.

Sigh, I miss the days of trading cards in beta, used to be my cards would pretty much insta-sell. Now they just sit there and mock me as the price gets undercut and undercut to mere pennies

I miss the days when I could buy/sell cards... instead of having 3 pages of inventory full of them.

Debating Endless Space, Anyone play it have any thoughts on it compared to other games like Civ or Masters Of Orion?
I've recommended it a bunch of times in the thread, if you just go up and type "Endless Space" into the search bar with "This Topic" as the search setting.

Simply put, it's Civ V in space with better combat and a more open tech tree. Great writing, not too impossible to approach even though it's a complicated game (completely customizable ships make for really in depth combat scenarios). I love what I've played so far.

Just beware of "one more turn" disease... It's just as bad as Civ IV/V like that...

SR2 PC was good and a lot of fun - though, it wasn't a good technical port, back when it came out. And yeah - that game was still not on GTA's level.
Hm, totally disagreed. SR2 is amazing and even does many things better than SR3. I still prefer SR3, but I'd take SR2 over any GTA game any day of the week.

can you guys please vote for Reus, I really want to try that game.
Done. It'll get cards once it's on sale anyways, so I guess that's the most worthwhile option.

can i have a free magicka i sacrificed my metro last light score to give a guy a great deal because he was realistic and not trying to lowball me and my card drops have been awful so otherwise ill be stuck passing on it for more important sales

So you cashed in on a game you got for free, and now you're begging for another free game?

Why are we all voting for Reus when it will be a daily?

All the Summer Getaway cards are gonna be the Featured daily.

Are you guys not that smart?
As opposed to Tropico 4 which was in a bundle (and still overpriced on Steam) and Towns (still overpriced also) which was in a bundle and which will likely be in one in the future? Plus, Reus looks more fun and basically, no one cares about the other two games?

Actually, Wheels of Fury is pretty fun. You get the fastest A-class car in the game that is tricked out like a Bond car by the time you complete the missions. It makes winning the A car races a snap too.

The Zodiac Tournament is great. It had an "Enter the Dragon" vibe but the story diverged quite far from that source. The last mission is a little bit of a pain but it's fun.

Year of the Snake and Nightmare in North Point are weird, especially if you play them after finishing all of the other DLCs, like I did. YotS is an intriguing story about a doomsday cult but everything feels a bit gimped because you have only one outfit and a couple of vehicles. Nightmare in North Point is a neat twist on the "what-the-hell-let's-put-zombies-in-everything" trend but the final boss fight is so aggravating that it prompted me to quit SD for good.

Thanks for the info.

Looks like I'm going to get he 'Wheels of Fury' DLC. The last racing game I was good at was the original Mario Cart. I don't want my SD experience ruined because I'm terrible at the racing part. If I can stack the odds in my favor by having the best available car- I'll do it. Though it pains me to spend more on a car DLC than I did for the base game.

to be fair, all 3 look like humble bundle fodder.

That's not a great deal for him..

Ys Chronicles is still decent priced on Steam, I think that trade equals at least $10.

i basically took a 24 dollar cut from retail and a 14 dollar cut from other cags who got the best buy deal and alllowed him to freeroll to get some money back via cards instead of just giving me the steam wallet funds for it

I believe you meant to say "I basically made a $20 profit from a $0.01 game."

Seriously? That's just plain not right.
Maybe it was programmed by an IGN commenter.

Ah agreed. My rig is too old to make the game look that nice. Hopefully by the time I build my new rig SD will be like $3. And I can get the dumb cards lol
It's Squeenix, so there's a good chance you'll end up being right. And the game looks fantastic with the hi-res texture pack.

Hell, I should've bought Blood Dragon at $6.24. Wasn't sure if I'd get to it or not before it drops in price given the insane backlog I already have, though.

Also, RIP Steam trading cards. Everything that dropped for me today is getting $0.17 due to some brilliant people saying "oh well I could get 50 cents for this, but I'd rather sell it fast for 25 cents." This is why you don't let teenagers run a business.
As long as I can still sell cards for more than 30 cents I'm happy. I was going to brag about offloading my first SD card for .42, but it looks like the market for the others has already crashed...
