I know this is offtopic but it's late at night and I don't care - and this thread is where most people will likely see this. I've always wondered which payment option is the best when paying for all these bundles I keep buying: Paypal or Google Checkout/Wallet (I rarely pay with credit cards directly since it's a hassle). I dislike Paypal (yes, I still do) and tend to pay with Google when the option is available, but I also want as much of my money as possible to go to the bundlers/developers and not to the payment processor. I've always heard that Paypal is the cheapest option from the merchant's point of view, so I went looking for Paypal's fees and Google's fees for merchants. Based on these:

- The basic fees are the same (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) for low volumes.

- The above means that in general you should pay at least ~$0.32 for the merchant to at least break even.

- For large transaction volumes (HIB-levels) the fees go down for both, but I don't see any huge differences.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled banter.

I typically use Amazon just because it's what I've used the most and therefore trust more than PayPal (have had issues) or Google. I hadn't thought about the fees though so that's a good point. I'll be sure to stop throwing quarters at IGS knowing it's actually costing them, and I'll have to look into amazon's fees to see if I should be using something else.

"Our standard rate is 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction for transactions of $10 or more" but they also support microtransactions.

Switching between characters in Trine 2 on KB is a pain, but I can't imagine hitting what you're aiming at with the grapple or creating boxes fast enough is possible with a gamepad.
Eh? I may not remember correctly, but wasn't switching characters in the Trine games on KB as simple as pressing 1, 2 or 3? I don't know what kind of keyboard you have, but it's probably not very common.

Maybe if you are playing co-op it could be a hassle. You need the other player to confirm the switch and stuff. I also triggered character switch by accident at times since I was hitting too close between W and the numbers.

Controller Humble Bundled with Valve Complete Collection + the Steam Box at BTA $6 or NOTHING! :shame:
Will we have to pay shipping for the controller? ;)

EDIT:

After you buy it at full price to appease the discount gods. Only then will they feel satisfied and rain sales and prices drops down from the heavens for the rest of us :whee:

We thank you in advance for your dedication to the greater CAG cause
I don't pay full price for things, normally. ;)

It's got at least have some percentage off - even if it's small. ;)

Awesome @ all that above swag.

I'm looking forward to ALL of those games - Destiny (if it gets a PC version), Dark Souls 2, and Dying Light.

EDIT:

I hope Dying Light turns out to be the REAL true-blue Dead Island 2 that I've been really wanting.

I got hands on time with it. It was running on a PC but they made us use an Xbox One style controller. I was very impressed; it feels a lot smoother.

Dead Island: Riptide feels more like Dead Island 1.5.

So, yeah - I'm hoping Dying Light namely has a more visceral feel for KB/mouse.

Did they have that analog control-pad mode in Dying Light?

I think that combat mode is quite cool for Dead Island + Riptide.

yup, its one of my most anticipated games. i watched a 10 minute gamelplay vid of Dying Light when it first appeared on steam, and it looks quite impressive.

So far only one claimed. Not even a mention as to lurkers. I guess these are bad enough they can't even be given away. Maybe if I pull out the spoiler tag?
Looks like someone lurked Twin Sector as well. Thanks for the drop though.

It is, and also Z or C, but it didn't feel comfortable. If this stupid trackball had more than 3 buttons, I would've set the switch to one of them.

Surgeon Simulator be trollin, added 18 more achievements. One of them is "Hah We Probably Made You Do It Again".

I didn't get to try out analogue mode I'm afraid. I didn't check the options menu.

I would imagine that the game did have it in though.

I have a few Origin tidbits by way of Gamefly. This sale is old and ends on the 30th but y'all bitchmade slackers didn't tell me what they have. These prices are after the 20% coupon code (GFDSEP20) is applied:

Burnout Paradise: Bonus Vehicle Pack is $3.19 (lowest I've seen)

Mass Effect 3 is $4.79 (lowest)

Crysis (1) Maximum - $5.99

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit - $4 ---- NFS: The Run - $4

Dragon Age Ultimate -- $5.99

And the rest of the usual EA suspects with varying discounts.

Fruity Pebbles

Cool, I didn't know there was a matx version of that case. The best one I've found is the ncase m1 http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ncase-m1-prototype-a-mini-itx-case but you could only order it through their indiegogo and that closed. Their vertical disc drive is a great space saving solution. Wish I could have got in on that.

I also found this Silverstone slot loading 5.25" bay replacement http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=326 which looks great without logos and buttons and whatnot on the front.

Just got the email actually. Nothing particularly interesting for me that I saw. Eventually I want to pick up NFS HP, Dead Space 2, ME Trilogy (double dipping from PS3), and Dragon Age, but none of these prices really impress me, so I'll probably be waiting for Amazon to beat them or the Origin Bundle 2 to happen.

Actually looking back at the drive I posted, it's the wrong one for the kind of cases I posted. I saw that m1 case too late too, I would've bought that.

I didn't know about that bay replacement, that's actually pretty nice.

There is also the EVGA Hadron with support for a slot loader on the side, it's a bit pricey, but at least it comes with a good PSU.

Hmmm....

NFS: Most Wanted [2012] (base game) is currently $9.99 before coupon / $7.99 after coupon (if coupon works).

Will that be the cheapest that's been?

EDIT:

According to IsThereAnyDeal - looks like it.

Those are GMG prices. How would Amazon realistically do any better? An intriguing bundle every few months ain't cuttin' wrists.

If any clairvoyants wanna help us out with the bundle situation, please mindlink me @

Ended up buying The Secret World. What server are my fellow CAGs playing on? I know it doesn't matter, but I want one that's in a good PVP battlegroup.

You can group up with friends cross-server, so it really doesn't matter which server you're on. I'd suggest Arcadia (RP) if you want an active server with more maturity (RP isn't enforced).

What are things a hooker would never say, Alex?

also, congratulations to the 5 people I sent steam keys to telepathically, you know who you are. ;)

I should've listened that PC SFxT was dead online. I've heard the same about Xbox version and it's not dead at all. Not a good decision on my end.

Curious - has anybody been doing much playing of Dead Island: Riptide during this FREE Weekend?

I got about 10 hours w/ it, so far. So once the Free Weekend's over in a few hours, I'll probably do my "1st Impressions" kind of thing in more details on it.

I'll keep it short, for now. There's a few new things - new campaign; new character you can be; boats; Defense type of quests; side quests to boost NPC's up when you do Defense Missions; new enemies; new equipment; etc.

But mostly - it's more Dead Island. Feels like a Dead Island DLC or expansion.

Mine wasn't free, but I have about 9 hours or 28% into the main quest. I have to say, I like the addition of Raid Bosses Champions to take on in some of the Dead Zones, though I feel they're a little on the easy side. I'm a solo player and aside from over-aggressive play style or careless mistakes, I haven't had much problem with them; unlike their BL2 contemporary. The DLC/expansion description is accurate. While I do like the game (I guess I'm one of the few on here), I kind of wonder what it would have been like if they made some game progression changes similar to Mass Effect sequels. I mean where you can still import a character save to make it feel like your prior progress was worth something, but change up the gameplay to make it different. Like giving you back your skill tree points and creating some new trees/abilities. Overall, I'm enjoying it. (And if it matters, I imported a level 47 Purna for my first character and am using KB&M.)
