Quick question, PayPal opened up a dispute on a payment I received today:

Dear Jesse Lazenby,

You have received a payment that we believe may not have been authorized by
the PayPal account holder. Here are the details of the transaction we are
investigating: etc etc
Any idea what this is all about? The buyer was from here and codes were sent and recieved already

what user is the dispute with? sounds like they either requested refund to try and get their money back, or someone stole someones paypal acct and paid you with it (prob the former)

whats with this influx of scam crap arising out of nowhere... damn

 
Trusted user, I dont wanna say his name without finding out whats going on but from what Ive gathered from it it seems that PayPal is the one disputing it. I sent the user a PM and filed a response with paypal so we'll see what happens next lol

 
if he filed a non authorized transaction on PayPal, payment will get refunded (even gift payments). transaction status doesn't matter.

only way to get your money is, contact the buyer and ask him to write or call PayPal (tell him to call). if it's flagged for a review all he has to tell is "I authorized the payment." 

if he stays quiet he will get the money. if he doesn't respond he will get the money.

what is the status of the funds of that transaction? on hold? means you are out of that amount on PayPal now?

Yep, on hold. Im negative $34 (what he sent me) and I sent him a PM so now I'm waiting for a reply

 
outcome of the review is entirely up to him now.

hope he'll not scam you. if he does, you have to clear the negative balance soon otherwise your paypal account may get closed.

 
I've always kind of avoided anything larger than a $5 phantom or resell as I tend to be a bit paranoid that something will go wrong...this stuff happening lately isn't making me feel comfortable. I guess now I'm counting on GameStop lowering it's prices on ps3 games with the new consoles coming out.

The share for $23.33 was for just the main game only. However, Azazael13 has claimed the spot. The main game plus season pass is still available to anyone that is looking. Cost is $40.00 which includes the PS4 upgrade fee.
