The 2013-14 NFL Thread

Nah WFAN Audio is a twitter feed run by just some random dude. I think the music didn't bother me cause I know most of this verbatim. It gets really low at the end. It was just pieced together from random youtube clips.

Yeah...it just annoys me when people make videos when they don't know how to make videos, haha. When the music kicked in, I seriously thought I had a pop up ad somewhere. I paused the video to go check and the music stopped. I was like "Are you serious?" lol.

This is like my favorite Francesa callers clip ever.

Anyone up for a game of Big Game Commercial Bingo this weekend?

Your money is safe with the Broncos this weekend. Seattle can't score enough points to keep up with the record setting Broncos offense. Final score 31-13 Denver.

So, what's everyone's favorite Super Bowl commercial? Whatever it is, it's wrong. The correct answer is Terry Tate: Office Linebacker.

Who is the idiot who voted for Brady for MVP?
The real question is who are all the idiots who voted for Manning. Brady took garbage and turned it into gold. He spotted Peyton all those points in NE and still came back and won.

I hate NE, but Brady was better than everyone else this year.

Yeah okay.

What happen to Brady in Denver?

All four of the Denver receivers would start in New England and 3/4 would start for most teams.

Edelman is the only receiver who would start for "some" teams and he's not a deep threat. I don't think Peyton goes 12-4 if he was the QB in NE this year but we all know the MVP award is for the statistically most outstanding player and that would be Manning for sure.

I'm rooting for Denver tonight too.  I think Pete Carroll is the most overrated coach in the league and cant stomach the thought of him with a ring...so I'm actually gonna root for Peyton.  God help me.

um no. Better? I'm sorry I must have missed the all the records Brady set this year. D. Thomas was raw, Decker and J. Thomas were unknowns before Manning. And when it counted, Brady failed...like he has the past 7 years.

Unknowns? That could be because they've been in the league for.... two years? All three of them were drafted 2010 or later and they would start for the majority of other NFL teams AND all four (including Welker) would start at New England.

Peyton did a lot with a lot. Don't make it sound like he turned scrubs into all-stars.

He isn't throwing 55 touchdowns to Amendola, Thompkins and Dobson (I'm a NE fan and can't think of a 4th WR)

Edit: and feel free to correct me but having 5 SB appearances and going 3-2 is better then either combinations of 2-1 or 1-2.

Edelman...

That is your fourth recevier and this coming someone that is not a fan of New England. The guy is brady #1 receiver this year.

Yes how can I forget the poor man's Welker and his constantly injured clone (Edelman and Amendonla).

Their isn't one deep threat in the bunch. And when the only consistent target all season is Edelman (slot receivers work best when you have a deep threat and receivers who are a deep threat work best when you have a good slot receiver) you're hands are going to be tied.

And NE's two tight ends were a guy who is famous for having a name that can't be pronounced and the other didn't play high school football and went to UMaine after transferring from a Division III school where he originally went to play basketball.

Give me a Top 10 quarterback in the NFL who had less to work with?

John Elway at the beginning of his year. Took 3 teams to the super bowl on his back before he got help later on.

On his back or the MVP Terrell Davis' back?

Davis was the SB MVP in XXXII and offensive player of the year when Denver won XXXIII

Edit: And I meant this year not historically. Different league now then it was 15 years ago.

Uh, Davis was in elementary school when Elway took Denver to 3 SBs in the 80s.
And he was the SB MVP and league offensive MVP when he took them to two more... the ones he won.

What point are you trying to reinforce? Lost SB's without help; won with help.... uhhh.... kind of shows he needed the help.

Just need a Dannica and a Packer commercial and I will have a bingo before kickoff.

What was with that promo with the people running and screaming while the camera focused on a blood-stained piece of glass?

EDIT: Geez, this anthem has pretty mich everything I hate about anthem singers.

You asked what QB had less to work with, blueweltall said Elway in the 80s when he took 3 teams to the Super Bowl on his back, and you replied "on his back or Davis' back?". Obviously Elway's back, since Davis' career didn't start until 1995.

There's your Packer commercial.

I feel like that promo might've had to do with the return of 24.

Super Bowl rings/appearances mean nothing in the MVP race. Tom Brady had one of his worst years as he showed that he needs help to be able to go anywhere, as evidenced by his performance in the playoffs where the only win they had was because they took him out of the game and focused on the run to lead the way. That's not to say it wasn't amazing that they managed to scrape together 12 wins, but that doesn't compare to the season that Peyton Manning had. Tom Brady won the MVP for the same sort of season back in 2007, so Peyton would obviously win it this year for topping that.

...Studio Ghibli's making cars now?
