New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

While the personal tag recommendations weren't very helpful, my friends tag feature delivered. I was able to find a VN  I didn't know existed. Looks like it will make Steam easier to search. I've tried searching for VN games before to no avail.

My suggested tags are all sadly boring. It's presently a list of genres I already know I play.

Eww....insect girls. Can't we all just love superior centaur girls?
For me it's all about serpentine gals. There's just something about a woman who can wrap herself around you. <3

Who wants some leftovers?  Quote which you'd like and I'll PM, first come first serve, one per user.

Jamestown

Shatter

Revenge of the Titans

Little Inferno

Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe (Desura)

All gone

Well, fuck you too Dante.

I know I'm late to the party on Steam tags, but I'm surprised these haven't been taken down already.

Anyone interested in a Skyrim thread or Steam group? For mod talk, general discussion, sharing screenshots, troubleshooting help, etc?

I'd start one up if people were interested. It's only a matter of time before people start complaining about too much Skyrim talk in here.

Dont worry. I think the last time people actually used this thread for Steam Deals discussion was around 10 000 BC.

( and the Winter and Summer sales, I guess)

On a more serious note, has anyone tried out No Time to Explain?

If so, could you tell me if the game is even PLAYABLE? Apparently there's a lag glitch in the game that has persisted since last year and the dev hasn't fixed it. I played it and yep, unplayable for me. :(

Are you playing fullscreen? I'm playing on my mac partition, and while it's unplayable in fullscreen, it's near perfect in small-windowed mode, aside from cutscenes.

I tried fullscreen and it lagged. I figured it was Flash acting up, as usual, so I went to windowed mode. Same deal.

That sucks. I don't know what to tell you.

…..'Cept that I'm having fun with it :D/

But I hope you find a fix for it, the game is a damn good time.

Maybe? I'd be more interested in a more open TES thread/group, myself. I'm pretty much set in my Skyrim playthroughs, but not having touched Morrow/Oblivion, I'd be more receptive to hear what others had to say.

I'm not sure I see a need for a separate thread. Skyrim has been featured in past "Steam deals", and therefore should be fair game to discuss here. The fact that it's not part of a sale right now is pretty irrelevant -- the sales right now aren't worth talking about.

So long as all the screenshots are either linked or spoiler-tagged, I vote that the discussion stays here. (And besides... when Skyrim finally comes down to my price point, I'd prefer not to have to go seek out other threads for modding advice.)

That would be fine as well.

I kinda just want an excuse to spam screenshots, go "OOH OOH, look at this mod I found!", and dominate the thread with Skyrim talk. I could do that here, but someone's gonna get butthurt at some point.

I like this Steam tag thing:

NhNB3it.png
Apt metaphor for Capitalism. :applause: :applause: :applause:

Steam is completely sober.

The steam users though...
I bought what?!?

The steam key for //N.P.P.D. Rush// - The milk of Ultra violet is now available if you bought the Groupees Retro 2 Bundle.
I honestly hope no one did. ...this is PROOF that *anything* can get greenlit.

Alot of people enjoy playing games as something they're not
I'm playing as a high elf... I've always wondered what the view is like from up there.

I'm :pandashocked: an "emo" tag isn't #1.

...I liked the new DmC.

So we don't have to put up with all the steam thread drivel between Skyrim posts.

That Meteorite Bundle from IR isn't half bad for an IR bundle. Bleed, Arcane Worlds, Not the Robots & No Time to Explain have been bundled before. The high entry price seems to keep me away from IR for what one gets in return. $4.98 right now seems a bit too high for my Indie bundle CAG liking. I'm continually surprised at how many bundles they sell on average.

No Time To Explain is the only game that I've missed out on in the past and would want, but it's disappointing others have mentioned lag issues. It looks kind of fun in a silly time paradox randomness of hats and cake eating sort of way. Plus it has Steam cards! Must stay strong...

Edit: Apparently Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta - Episode 1 is right "up there with Ride to Hell Retribution in terms of hilarious incompetence and misery. It's one of those unique experiences that are so bad that you just have to see it for yourself." according to the most helpful Steam review.
