New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

Did they ever fix the problems with Rome II? Or is it still a pile of garbage

Had already Dungeon Keeper on GOG from previous giveaway in December :(

Speaking of GOG, I bought Witchers yesterday and today they removed GOG-keys and I didn't redeem them :(

Edit: You can thank me next week for Humble Witcher/GOG/CDProject Bundle.

I'm loving the flurry of sales from GOG, Amazon, Groupees, etc. It's like all the games retailers know their core audiences are going to be alone this weekend, so they comfort us with cheap games. :D

I'm just wondering why that wouldn't actually be the right answer.
I think the idea was that the unwashed masses not being familiar with some obscure overpriced niche French game would go ZOMGUBISOFTUPLAYSUX!!!!111eleventyoneoneone or something.

So I just got a Titanfall beta key email but I guess it's just an XBox One key? I thought I was signing up for the PC version of the beta. :?:

*Edit: Apparently it's a known issue and if you contact support and let them know supposedly they will get you a PC beta key.

Some players have received a code for a different platform for the Titanfall Beta. If you have received an incorrect code, follow these steps to let us know and we'll get you a replacement code: (be sure to login with your Origin account and password first):

On EA Help - Search for Titanfall and select Contact Us.
Select PC as the Platform, and click Next
Select the Topic - Demo/Beta and type in Eligibility Issue in the subject line, and click Next
Click on Email Me.
On the next screen, when asking for What type of Demo/Beta issue you are having, select Eligibility
Enter the Titanfall Beta code that is not working as the description of the problem.
Select Submit.
You will receive a new PC code within the next two hours.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your patience while we work to resolve your case.

I received two separate emails, one for the Bone, one for Origin. They were sent out about an hour apart, so your PC one might still be coming.

Can confirm this... I just bought them. Ubisoft got a weird way of doing the steam key thing.. Don't they?
They're terrible about detailing what DRM they are selling. My default go to for that sort of thing is Gamersgate. In almost every instance they only sell a Steam version of a game if there is no other option, thus the game is Steam everywhere.

There's a couple of oddball exceptions like Morrowind that they sell as a Steam key but Gamefly sells with some other crappy DRM but 99% of the time whatever the DRM is listed as on GG is what it will be everywhere else.

Games don't keep me waiting for two hours...

Has anyone seen a bundle sale for plastic sheeting, an axe, a shovel, and a bag of lime?

Might be able to sell the X1 key if they didn't deactivate it. People are willing to pay crazy prices just to play an unfinished version of a game for a few days.

Not to be rude, but this is incorrect unless you have a completely normal distribution. There are always outliers that skew the distribution.

However, 50% of people are below the median.
All (living) people.. 7+ billion atm. My sample size is more than large enough. At these sample sizes median=mean for any normal distribution.

Just finishing downloading the Left Behind DLC for The Last of Us. Gonna spend my day playing that since when it comes to relationships I've always been left behind . . .

The Witcher is currently on a free weekend. They removed the GOG keys so people wouldn't exploit the free days and get the GOG version for free.

No DayZ of Rusty love for me :(
I highly doubt DayZ or Rust will go on sale any time soon. Rust just reached 1 million users and the game is still being aggressively updated... I just can't see it being discounted in the near future. As for DayZ, the guy developing the game has basically said it's got a LONNNNGGGG way to go. The only way it's on sale is it starts losing customers to Rust.

Also, just to toss my opinion out there, Rust > DayZ in almost every aspect except graphics. It's not the prettiest game, but it's very polished and a TON of fun to play. I've been going solo since I started playing and I can't get SHIT done without being raided by a group of assholes (as it should be)! :p
