  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Peggle 2 is really good, but takes a performance hit on the 360 compared to the X1 as expected.

You get a full taste with the demo - all of the first 10 levels to play as Bjorn.

It does however feature leaderboards, the X1 version did not.

please elaborate. I didn't think Peggle 1 was so intense that it would have a noticeable difference in hardware, the occasional frame slow down is gone perhaps?

It felt like 60fps on X1 and It's 30fps on the 360*. Visual wise they look almost the same.

*I'm not digital foundry so I don't know if it's exactly that extreme, but going back to the X1 theres a HUGE difference in frame rate.

Sacred Citadel looks pretty cool. I'm going to grab it based off the screenshots, the file size and (obviously) the price. I'm also going to take the advice of the majority and stay away from Scourge. Those were the only 2 that interested me this week.

 
I had never heard of Sacred Citadel or Scourge until Tuesday evening. Will try em both out tonight when I get home to see if they're worthy of my $$$$

There's a demo of the first level. It's not like Castle Crashers good but it seems pretty solid and can't argue with the price. I was sold on it after the demo.

Off-Topic(ish): Anyone else wish they'd just release both monthly free games at once? Just thinking cause I REALLY wanna play SRTS right now. Especially before Wolfenstein, Watch Dogs, and the Titanfall DLC drop.

I don't really care about that. I'm cool with the way they do it now (every 15 days). I'm also looking forward to play SR3, but I'll play some other games meanwhile. There is no hurry.

I understand your point of view though, since you prefer to play it before the release of games on which you have preference.

Games with Gold is expected to be announced at e3 for xbox one, and Phil said the program will have a few changes (possibly switching to the ps+ style). Assuming it also changes for 360, they most likely want to release an XBLA title at the beginning of june and then announce bigger retail titles at e3 for the 2nd half of june.

Anyone else find it weird that the Xbone can see me and sign me in but then when I go to play a disc based game that's in the system it makes me sign in again?

Found out from a WPCentral article that Nutjitsu is free on Windows 8. I'll give that a try before judging it too harshly. I'm curious what changes they made to the game for X1 version. I'm assuming less micro-transactions and more levels.

 
This DOTW is killing me. I just started weening myself off my recent addiction to an iOS pool game very reminiscent of a childhood vice of mine, SIDE POCKET and now... an overly complicated POOL NATION steps up to fill that hole in my heart--and at a reasonable price finally.

It was $5 a few months back. That was more than reasonable for the time I got out of it.

The product page on the Xbox was super-uninviting, in fact I don't think I've experienced such a lackluster set of so many vague pictures for a game that wasn't on the Indie tab, "ooh, so there's pool balls and different environments?!" I had to download the silly "launch trailer" just to find out of there were guidelines, sheesh.

I played a lil tiny bit of it yesterday and the only thing I'm not digging is how complicated and prolonged each shot can get, which in turn lead to a quick and decisive defeat at the hands of the very first CPU opponent (on his second turn at the cue he managed to pot all but one of his balls, seriously now?); I guffawed at the "Tutorial" teaching you to jump the cue onto the side of the table in order to avoid hitting other balls, now c'mon son....

And yet, I have a feeling if it wasn't for snagging some primo new games during that Best Buy BOGO glitch, I'd probably let POOL NATION suck every ounce of free-time away from me, but alas, the mediocrity of CASTLEVANIA: LoS2 beckons....

I find it slightly difficult to believe you haven't been able to pick up a cheap copy of Saints by this point if you really look forward to playing it. Money can't be too tight if you have an X1 and are planning to pick up two brand new games and some DLC all close to each other.

Fun Fact! You don't know shit about my life and current situation so you would/should have no opinion on it! Isn't learning fun?

I got the X1 for Xmas after saving up half my own money.
I have best buy credit that I've been saving for those games. So out of pocket I'm only paying $25.
I share dlc content with a friend.

SR3 has been as cheap as $5 before. No need to get mad at the dude, Just saying lol.
 
Notice how the thread gets volatile when certain people post and get all huffy? Yeah, just saying......I am proiud of snagging my copy of SR3 for less than a fiver so I'll have no problem trading it in though it's been sitting in my backlog for a year+.

I've never seen it for less than $20. Then its a matter of finding it. Also, I live in an ass end of SC where there's no local stores that carry games.

Sorry coming from someone who plays shit and good games, this statement is laughable. Pool Nation is def worth $5, is a steal at $1, and heck Bankshot Billiards 2 was $10. BB2 is shit compared to Pool Nation and I should know because I've played more than 20 hours of BB2 according to Raptr, with most of my offline play not recorded mind you. It didn't hurt that it was one of the only Xbox Live games I could play on shit "broadband" satellite internet.

Less than $30 for a game you want to play, or $500 for an untested system at launch that will go on sale eventually to compete and will have bundles later? It didn't even include a game at launch, so it's even more expensive. You chose the irrational choice and got called on it. You then attack others on this site for making the valid observations.

You also screamed on this site when the post office delivered your game an hour later than they said they would. An hour! You seem to be unstable and need to learn to control your emotions.

Learn to not overreact to posts that make sense. You have financial problems because of bad financial choices...
