[DEAD] GameStop Treasure Hunt Thursdays Challenge - Free $5 Xbox credit

GameStop has teamed up with Xbox to give away 45,500 $5 Xbox/MS credit codes every Thursday for the next four weeks. They will post a "treasure hunt" clue on their twitter @GameStop with the hashtag #XBLGoldMineAtGS to help you find a link to claim a code. Official rules at http://bit.ly/XBLGoldMineAtGS. The challenge periods will be run on these Thursdays: 6/19/2014, 6/26/2014, 7/3/2014, and 7/10/2014 from 12:00pm-11:59pm Central, while supplies last.

Note that "Xbox points" are actually just Microsoft currency and thus can be used not only on Xbox downloads but also on the Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 app stores as well as on Xbox Music and Xbox Video stores (formerly Zune), which are also viewable on PC. I'm pretty sure you can't use Microsoft "Points" to pay for purchases from the Microsoft Store website or B&M locations, but feel free to correct me on that matter.

Though I have not had the time to read over all the rules, it seems to be one code per person. I do not see anything about one code per account. In that case, I'd argue the rules do not prohibit it. It would be against the rules if you used two Facebook accounts to get two codes though.

That's what I figured as well. I don't see anything saying I can't redeem my girlfriends code on my account, but you never know with these things.

Isn't this done through GS though? I mean I don't need an account for that. It's also fairly easy to make multiple facebook accounts, email, new fb name, skip, skip, skip, done.

They're actually "Microsoft Points" now, so you can use it on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 app stores and Xbox Music and Video stores (formerly Zune, which aren't actually restricted to Xbox consoles), too. My girlfriend redeemed a code for me, I added it to my XBL account without an issue.
