I wish I could turn the air up. My wife only has a part time job and usually works from home too so she can be home with the kid. So the air cant go up any higher than 74 in our house "or they will die." My wife is so spoiled. My mom used to keep the temp in our house growing up at 78 and turn it off as soon as she could and open windows/turn on fans. Needless to say in the heat of FL our electric bill is close to $300 during the summer and never goes below $120 at any point all.

Cheap PSN game that was reportedly short (it really wasnt) with a good number of trophies and a plat when I was looking for something else in between rentals during one of the competitions I was in. I really wish I had found something else instead.

I not only echo what MrNinjaSquirrel said--why would you do that in the first place?!--but add that you shouldn't assume a game adaptation is terrible because the source material is terrible. In this case, the adaptation itself was terrible.

I'm pretty sure I'm right on this . Maybe have @tyler do one of his investigative spreadsheets lol. I don't ever recall this much overlap between generations. With marquee releases? I mean, come on, even the new Metal Gear is cross-gen. That's always been something to mark a new era for me. We can debate why it's happening but I can't believe you don't think it's occurring at a higher frequency.

Maybe I just hold Borderlands in higher esteem than some of you. I feel like it deserves better. Reminds me of how Sony sometimes treats Gran Turismo. My friend is trying to convince me that just because I can get a used copy of MGS: Ground Zeroes for $4 used doesn't mean I should. Not because the quality of the game but because I'd just be adding another game to the pile. I'm almost starting to think he might be right. Especially since I'm just playing MGS4 now.

The point being they didn't want to alienate a generation of players who hadn't moved on to new-gen yet. It's most likely that players new to the series wouldn't have picked up a gap-bridging title for past gen games, they'd just wait for a proper sequel to jump in. Yet I digress. Your argument was more about "several games/in general" than BL specifically. And I get that. Just throwing it out there that this is why BL was done this way.
