Someone over at Steamgifts posted ways to remove all that crap from the storefront if you are using a browser. I think one was a plugin another was a stylesheet.

The over 500 club is up to 1.78% on gamefaqs (over 2% if you count over 1,000).

*high fives everyone*

Is Rocket Knight any good, or will it destroy my childhood if I play it?

Come one now. We aren't complete bumpkins in the South. Most of the people I know only use coke for "Coke like" drinks like RC Cola or Pepsi. We use Dr. Pepper for Dr. Pepper type drinks. Sprite for lemon lime type drinks and so on. For us its like saying Kleenex for tissue.

Reviews make it sound like a poor-ass port. 640x480 res??!!! You've got to be kidding me.
The original arcade machine was a WinXP box at 640x480 and this is the same thing with a few more modes. If it was worse than the arcade version somehow then I'd say it was a bad port, but in this case it's just lazy.

Liar!

Being from the south, I know a lot of people use coke as a general term for a soda. The red and yellow parts are the only ones doing it right. Pop is just antiquated and silly.

I converted to soda in college, which is a great place to learn how people around the country live and mock them for it. And be mocked. I had a roommate from Atlanta who told us that they even call the stuff that comes out of a cow coke. /ycs

Rocket Knight has a Curator recommendation by what appears to be the official Konami account, which has only recommended its own titles. How tremendously useful. I guess the review policy update came through too late to affect this kind of thing.

I'm still waiting for a semi-decent trollish curator.

Cool Pier Solar is coming out soon.

A nice 16 bit style RPG that's not a product of RPG Maker.

I've been waiting for this to get released just wish I knew what price.

However by the looks of things it may be $50.

http://www.magicalgamefactory.com/en/factory/pier-solar_1/

I'm hoping that's just the price for the physical edition.

I will definitely have to wait on a huge discount if not.

This has been around for a while but it's my first time seeing it: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/08/26/age-of-empires-returns-but-only-on-windows-8. What a load of hooey. In case there were any lingering doubts before you got to it, the last sentence here certifies this as a Facebook game: Players will be able to create alliances with their Xbox Live friends, as well as compete against others alliances.

(Also IGN writers apparently don't understand possessives.)

I wish this kind of game would just die already and I'm really sorry to see Microsoft take the Age of Empires brand and bastardize it to this absurd degree. This would be like Ubisoft making a new Assassins Creed game but it's one of those "endless runner" things. . . or have they already done that?

$50 would be worth a real genesis cart. Charging $50 for a 16 bit RPG digitally is just no, especially when full 3D rpg's cost around the same.
