It's a crossguard, they've been a fixture in heavy straight swords for over a 1000 years designed to protect the wielder's hand from strikes.

One thing I've never understood about lightsabers. So you press a button and the blade extends, right? People who use the dark side of the force are dicks, right? Why don't they just use the force to turn off their opponent's blade right as they are attempting to block their kill blow.

It's because none of the movies does a good job of showing force utilization by anybody.

With all the talk of Star Wars, I thought I'd mention that Amazon will have the episode 4-6 Blu Ray set as a lightning deal later today. They're already matching Best Buy's price of $30, so I'm curious to see what it will drop to.
 
One thing I really liked about Avatar: The Last Airbender was when they brought in blood bending. That seemed like such an obvious utilization of bending and I'd wanted to see somebody go for ruthless effectiveness. I would have liked to see an air bender suck the air out of somebody or just suffocate them by removing it from a person, but it made sense not to have that with Aang being the only airbender and that not being in his personality.

Force-wise...I've never seen anything interesting and that's a disappointment. The abilities we see from the various users are always super basic and not at all creative.

Just watch; the lightning deal was already set in place, so when it goes live the PM disappears and the lightning deal at $40 goes live. :D/

 
I understand it is the crossguaRd like a sword, but on a sword that won't cut your hand off, but a lightsaber crossguard would. It's an open fucking laser beam an inch away from their fingers!

I suppose that's why I like the Force Unleashed game so much as it felt like the first game which game close to incorporation of a variety of force abilities into combat.

This is still probably the most creative utilization of a supposedly "useless power", the power to control milk.

i was just observing for friends. golds were the first things i bought with my ps4. there seems to be an abundance of most black friday deals this year. maybe since everyone bought crap online instead of going in to the store.

Seems to me she's not saying anything negative about anyone but herself. she's basically saying 'I chose to get really drunk / stoned to have sex with an old but famous and powerful man. I hated it.' she's welcome to make herself look like a moron to her heart's content.

She just stated the obvious. She definitely shouldnt act like it was a burden for her though. Like she had to pay for all that weed and alcohol.

I can imagine what the dude that married her was thinking. "Yes, I want to marry a woman that slept with a 90 year old man that had been with thousands of whores throughout his lifetime."

Ended up getting an extra Dualshock 4 like I wanted. Wal-Mart has the black and blue ones for around $42, with the white one for about $45. My kid picked the blue one, so I used $40 worth of gift cards to get it for less than $5 after tax.

Thank you for posting. Was bummed about missing out the other day but I managed to snag a pair from this. FYI store-pickup will *automatically adjust the price* at the guest services desk. I ordered mine last night and just picked them up. Best of all, it didn't require use of one of those awful Android devices. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. @Bums I enjoyed some tofurky in your honor.
