I have been around about 7 times when DDD went available so far, still have yet to get him. He is honestly my Mobey Dick and he is going to make me snap soon.
Same story here... I've literally missed him everywhere.

BBY still hasn't shipped my MK order from back in Dec 15.

Last night I got the email from Wal-Mart stating my Mega Man has shipped and should arrive next Tuesday. I pre-ordered him in late December. While over at Best Buy, in which I pre-ordered Mega Man since the 1st week of December, nothing!!

Also, to be fair, the MP wave/Wave 3.5 still hasn't come out yet and now stores know more about Amiibo supply. Not really surprising that Wave 4 isn't up yet.

Exact same situation I'm in.. Ordered 12/12 and still nothing.. I would t care about waiting if people's orders from last week weren't already sent while I've been waiting for months... I think I'm screwed
Calling them about it is even more upsetting. They cannot explain why a pre-order placed on Dec. 7th is collecting dusts meanwhile an order placed a few days ago already shipped. Store exclusives sucks when you are under their mercy. :nottalking:

It's sitting on the dock in Seattle, how is this thread not familiar with this issue? The overwhelming majority of foreign imports aren't getting through, the website and reps aren't able to tell you jack because it's all in limbo.

The worst part is there's no way to tell if this stuff was actually going to end up rare or more likely that they're stuck in containers. Doesn't matter at this point, because once the block gets unplugged paranoia will rule and 40 year olds will gobble them up and sit on their stockpile.

Not yet. Ordered 12/7 and am Elite Plus as well. MN CAG here and I normally get my stuff from Ohio.
i'm in ohio and ordered 12/12.. maybe it's the ohio distribution center that's delayed?

i called to check the status of my order and she told me the availability date was 12/20 and there was nothing wrong with my order. I said what does availability date mean, does that mean it will be delivered 12/20? she said "no, we will know the delivery date once the item has been shipped." I said ok so does that mean it will be shipped 12/20 then? She said no we don't know the ship date. I said well then what does availability date mean? She said "sir... please ignore the availability date" :wall:

Best Buy sends me an email alerting me Mega Man will be ready for pick-up tomorrow. Now, I'm not believing in this at all. Last time they sent me about my Pit Amiibo being ready for pick-up Best Buy screwed me and told me they had nothing.

See what I mean?!?!? Pretty much got the same response without addressing my question or concern.

happened to me too with Pit and Falcon. Back then they were just sold from the box from the wharehouse to the mob. They didn't think to pull them in time. But with my Shiek, Bowser and TL, they were all properly pulled and waiting, even my Sonic last week, even though it took a day to find.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Plus if you got the e-mail, it should be in their 'pulled' area under your last name. Wouldn't hurt to go in tonight and verify.

Glad I have Mega Man ordered from Wal-Mart. At least I know it's on its way cause there's a tracking number to track. Unlike Best Buy which is all guess and speculation.

This is just not accurate. The port slowdown has impacted imported goods, but the delay is only in the degree of an extra 1-2 weeks of unloading time and not months. Also, nothing is in "limbo". Goods are still being unloaded in the order they are received, it's just taking longer to do so. The guy you are responding to is complaining that he preordered months ago and the same retailer shipped out orders placed a week ago for the same item before his. That's on the retailer and has nothing to do with port operations as the retailer obviously had stock come in or they wouldn't have shipped someone else's later order before his.

There is no magical container of rare Amiibos sitting in the port. Everything from the first two waves that was part of the original shipment would have been unloaded long ago.

I think I literally HATE the fact that Iwata and Miyamoto are determined to bring these smaller edition amiibo -- we don't want smaller/more affordable amiibo! We want these figures to stay the same size for uniformity sake!

Here's a blurb from the Q&A -- "We will also launch smaller and even more affordable amiibo figures in the future, so we hope that with this variety of price points, consumers will be able to enjoy a number of amiibo. By using amiibo in different forms, we are internally discussing the possibility of using amiibo with, for example, an “Animal Crossing” game and other games in some unique ways. I hope you look forward to our future announcements.

I think they realized they're hitting a wall on functionality with these amiibos. By making them cheaper and/or in card form they can create a wider array of stuff and it'll go down easier with the consumer.

I am going in to work late tomorrow to see if standing out in the cold will yield me a Meta Knight. Anyone in the Dayton Ohio area from here doing the same maybe we can help each other out tomorrow morning. I called earlier in the week and they stated that they would have extras but would not disclose how many they would have. They also stated that they are going to be on the shelves at the Wii U section and that it was first come biases but who knows as this store is known for their fuck ups. Just PM me.

when they release 300+ pokemon amiibo you will be thankful they are smaller and affordable

You might not want it, I think it's not a bad idea. This collector bullshit is of no interest to the majority of consumers or Nintendo.
If this were the case then wouldn't you believe at this point they would start pumping Wii Fit Trainers, Villagers, Marth, and Little Mac out to meet the demand?

Are there any licensed amiibo carrying cases that have individual places for each figure? All of the ones I've seen at retail are designed for children to throw in their amiibos together all willy-nilly.

I wouldn't mind smaller figure is its a new line that has tons of characters, like say Pokemon or Animal Crossing. But you don't need another line up of characters already released.

BBY has cases like this, but they max at 12 slots.

I'm going to Best Buy tomorrow morning, but if I see a bunch of over 20 white males making a mad dash to electronics, I'm not participating in that. I want my Nintendo toys but I'm going to be at least a little dignified about it.

The demand from whom? Scalpers and the poor saps who made the mistake of deciding they were going collect all of something made by Nintendo. Those are the only people who are going to break down the doors at Target to get a Wii Fit Trainer.

Nintendo have made a lot of mistakes with Amiibos, but honestly I can understand them thinking that not many people were going to want a Little Mac or Villager (I really wanted a villager, but seriously, villager).

But for people now complaining they shouldn't do something about it because their collection won't be uniform, they can fuck right off with that shit. That said I shouldn't care, it's not like Nintendo ever listens to its fans/consumers anyway.

Yes, it's totally impossible that something got caught up in shipping, perish the thought. I've had conversations with others in actual life about importing various items months ago that haven't showed up, I think it's possible, not magical.

Yeah, I understand the card form, but it annoys me that they're going to be making amiibo but just smaller. Obviously the collector in me is upset (having spent YEARS having multiple different sizes of the same few Nintendo characters), but more than that -- these things are selling through at $12.99, do they really think they can make a bigger margin on a $5.99 character that's 1/2 the size? And do they think they'll be as popular??

I guess they do, but I just don't see it over here.

Edit: Well, unless you're talking about the 700+ pokemon -- I'd be okay with those being smaller I guess ;)

Thanks for all of the links to cases, guys. I'm only collecting the characters from the original Smash Bros, so a container for 12 is perfect!

Slap Nintendo on it and call it rare/limited and preorders will sell out in an hour for small ones as well. No difference at all.

My local Best Buy comes through as usual. Just checked the status of my December full wave 3 order and Ike, King DeDeDe, Mega Man and Meta Knight are all available for pickup. Even my order of two extra Meta Knights from last week is ready for pick up. So much for in-store pickup being an issue. I know where I'm stopping on my way home tonight!

I think its to allow them to have more variety. I mean Xenoblade is going to be a major release but we're probably going to get at most maybe another full size amiibo for the game if we're lucky. If its smaller and cheaper they can release more characters, add more unlocks to it as well and still have decent sales.
