Humble Bundle Thread

Interplanetary looks like something I'd play.... but it also looks really boring.

Edit: Oh wait, I already have it.

Reassembly looks great, but I don't know I'd pay ~$5.80 for it.

Why do so many people in my friends list own Edge of Space?  It's only bundle appearance was in a $10 tier and it doesn't look to have had a great sale yet.

I'm considering dropping the premium for Reassembly. Has some stupidly positive reviews and I dig those top-down shooty games.

Also, I have been having some serious impulse control issues lately always.

BTA kinda sucks, Interplanetary has been bundled before cheaply, and STARWHAL only has local MP..
Eh. Its not bad at all really. There have been better and there have been worse.

Interplanetary was in an IG Monday over a year ago when it was still EA and is not an easy find on the trade market, so I think calling it "bundled before cheaply" is a bit of a misnomer espc when its been over a year. It's not like one of those RPG Maker games that gets put in a bundle every other week. Timing is important when calling a game out for being previously bundled, regardless of tier. I personally dont care if Starwhal only has local MP, but I agree the fact that it doesnt have online multi, hurts its value. Edge of Space is about to exit EA, is quite popular and well made, and with very involved devs.

Depending on what you pay (I paid 4.05 for the bundle), BTA is a very decent bargain IMO. 3 bucks (take out a dollar for the first tier) for those 3 is fair IMO.

Probably via trades. I won it from Carlmundo personally during one of the WGN streams with the devs, but it was widely trading at about 1 key before the regional locks happened because of 4 packs.

I only own Interplanetary from this one, so I'm mildly tempted to BTA. Not sure though. I'll probably just default to the $1 tier to quell my neediness.

I got Interplanetary from tremor.. so yeah, it was pretty cheap back then if you knew how to tremorbro. The IG bundle wasn't terrible either if you wanted Montas. It was a better deal than the bta in this bundle for me. Edge of Space is really the only thing that stands out, considering it was in a crap tier before.

And you're right, timing is important.. meaning at this point it should have been in the $1 tier, not the bta..

Besides, if Bobby has a game, everyone does!

Already owned it. Got it from Coral. Enjoy, or not.

I was pretty excited to see StarMade in a bundle. I like Minecraft -- not so much the clones -- but this one looks great.

So everyone here automatically has 2600+ games in their library? I had no idea. :bouncy:

I was legitimately surprised, I was under the impression the game was relatively popular and still in active EA. But then I looked closely at the store page and it made sense. You can basically play the full game for free via the demo currently.

Try out the full game for free in Alpha!
We are currently offering the full version of the game for free on our demo. This will be throughout Alpha, as we believe a user wanting to purchase a game that is in open alpha, should get to try out and test the current full state of the game first. We also need as many testers as possible, your reports, feedback and input is invaluable!

So... why should you purchase the game if it's currently free?

  • Support the developers!
  • You'll still have access to the latest version of the game when the demo stops being supported/updated. (Access to the full version when released)
  • Get it cheaper! As more features are added, the price will progressively increase. This will benefit those who supported the game earlier.
  • We're adding upgraded only features to our Registry system, this will not directly affect any game features, however it will give more access online. For example, blueprint hosting and multiple skin uploads for selection.

What are you waiting for? Click that demo button, and try out the full game for free!

Good. I don't need competition to grab the few copies of each bundle game that they get in.

Unless of course, you wanted to sign up using my referral link. In which case I'd welcome you with open arms.
I created an account using one of my alts. Every single offer for my region involved installing software or doing stuff on a cell phone. :(

So for all the Foxhacks in the audience, the $1-tier only comes with the soundtrack for RocketsRocketsRockets, and it's in an MP3 format.

Not sure about the BTA, I don't get why some weeks they randomly decide not to show the soundtracks on the main page.

Bought the $10 tier, has soundtracks for all three games in the $1 tier + Reassembly, none of the BTAs. If they don't end up adding in the Steam Marines & Starmade soundtracks to the low tier, i'll gladly sell you mine.

Misread. Only soundtrack in the whole thing is Rockets

Not even Starwhal? (which has a soundtrack for the same price on Steam as RocketsRocketsRockets'). Colour me shocked. No wonder they didn't bother to advertise that.

Exactly. Nobody use Tremor. It sux. You'll hate it. kthxbai ;-)

I think most people own it because they won it from Steamgifts when developer did a big giveaway. I've won from that. It was so long ago and the dev didn't even know how to implement proper Vsync and I had to use D3DOverrider.

They did multiple giveaways for Edge of Space. I won from the one they did on their own site. Back then Lady Eye-joe or whatever was like their PR mouthpiece before she went and lied for Bad Juju about the CEO being on his deathbed and then went to Poopees and offered to dye her hair red as a bundle sales bonus reward, now she's community manager for Beefjack whatever that is according to her Twitter and I guess back with Edge of Space too.

I can't keep track. She changes jobs more than underwear.

If I may vent for a second about some indie dev stupidity, this applies to plenty of other devs but two of the games in this weekly are guilty so it's relevant.

[customspoiler=Rant][/customspoiler]
Starwhal's game price is $12. The game and the soundtrack together is $15. The soundtrack separately is $8.

Meaning you spend $5 extra buying the game and soundtrack separately. Not only do I think it's a bit ridiculous to sell a game's soundtrack for 2/3rds of the price of the actual game, but the price discrepancy between the soundtrack edition and the items separately is enough to guarantee that basically no one will buy your soundtrack on its own, and nobody wants to buy the same game twice.

RocketsRocketsRockets is even worse. Game price is $7. The game and the soundtrack together is $10. The soundtrack separately is also $8, even more than the actual price of the game and $2 less than the Deluxe. Not to mention, the "Deluxe" version supposedly includes some exclusive bonus tracks or something.

I don't know if this pricing is because musicians feel entitled to far better pay than game devs or something, but these people need to learn that this isn't Bandcamp, or they aren't going to make any money.  /rant

I mostly want digital comics because I have too much STUFF. I can pay whatever they ask because I'm rich enough to not need this trash site but at the same time I have an ENTIRE bookshelf of nothing but backlogged media. It's just too much at some point.

The bundle looks like garbage. Minecraft/Terraria clones aren't games. The strategy games don't look like anything special enough to grab me. I'd play RocketsRocketsRockets for 10 minutes but I don't actually want it bad enough to go through the pain in the ass of all the typing you have to do to buy from that trash site.

So apparently 2 keys I got from HB were bad and they got pulled from my Steam account (Original War and Arma 2: Army of the Czech Republic DLC, both from Bohemia Interactive 2 bundle).

Has this happened to anybody else?

Is the bundle still in your Humble account? Are other keys from the bundle still on your Steam account?

Yep and yep. I just emailed their support staff, I'm confident that they'll give me 2 replacement keys, but it's strange that this happened to HB, as they are a highly reputable bundler.

My tremor key for the Czech DLC worked just fine and hasn't been revoked

Wow, I've never had that happen before. I don't think I've gotten e-mails about products being removed from my account, either; then again, my Steam e-mails get forwarded to a junk folder since I hate seeing "Flowette just bought your Hatsune Miku (Foil) for 20 quid" messages. Thanks for letting us know that this is happening.

Very odd but, no, it hasn't happened to me and I did buy that bundle.

Oddly, the store page doesn't acknowledge that I own Arma 2, though it is in my Library. Once I add it to my cart I do get a warning that I own it.

I think everyone would be shocked if it weren't taken care of quickly.

It's not getting fixed, that's been an issue since the first Bohemia Weekly a year ago. No idea why.

Unless you mean the key thing, in which case I'd agree.

Has anybody been able to purchase more than one copy of the Bandai Namco bundle?

After a friend expressed interest in the bundle several days ago, I offered to let him have my bundle since I had locked in the BTA at $5.55 on day one. I only needed two games in the lowest tier, so it didn't really matter if I just bought a new bundle. But when I tried to buy my copy about 30 minutes ago, my purchase was cancelled. Usually you only hit this wall if you try to buy more than three copies of the bundle per payment method.

I had my friend buy the bundle for me, so I'm not missing out on anything. But I'm kind of surprised at being limited to just one copy of the bundle.

I think Humble mentioned that some bundles have purchase limits because the publishers don't want their shit to end up in Tremor or G2A. :p
