I grabbed one of those Acer Chromebooks from Amazon for $98 on a lightning deal not even a week ago. I use mainly apple products but that Chromebook is awesome!

 
Dang I really want a Wiimote but according to brickseek only 1 nearby store has one and its not saleable. A pro controller for $25 would be amazing but only store that had them is over an hour away and not marked as clearance

No go on Pikmin, figured that would be the case. Pro controllers are 20 miles in opposite direction 2 in stock, might be a trip worth taking tomorrow at lunch time.

what they are telling you is TOTAL bs, get the main store manager involved, on CLEARANCE items there is absolutely NO LIMIT

that 2 limit crap only applies to non-clearance regular stock, sick corporate on the manager if he tries to tell you the same shit

duh, thats what clearance means, to clear the shit out of the store

or if you want to try the non-hostile approach, just keep going back when shifts change until you get the employee who knows the proper rules and/or doesnt give a crap

also, sux to be me, only 1 location has those 2ds systems and they are $99, =(

my sister has been wanting one, would have been perfect as an xmas gift

Took a chance and checked and struck out(expectedly). Searched every clearance end cap which they actually had a lot of but no Pikmins. Only a 15 min drive from me so it wasn't too bad just wished I hadn't wasted the time haha. I figured either they got stolen or someone hid them or that target just never updated when they got sold since they were the only ones that had it in stock for $29.98. Owhale

Grabbed a pack of cigs at the gas station across the street to relieve the stress.

Dude, I was there right after I posted. I should have updated lol. Dude was pretty helpful but they're no where to be found.
 
My local Target didn't have Pikmin 3, but they did have Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed (Wii U) for $9.98 and Disney Infinity 1.0 wave 2 power disc binders for $4.98.

 
If you guys get a chance, you should get Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for PC. Game seriously rivals Mario Kart but is unique enough to stand on its own. It's normally $20 but can be had for $5 every other week.

If any of those were the barrio/ghetto Target in Pacoima, don't bother. Brickseek was showing 2 on hand 0 in stock and I came away with one after scouring the place - be sure and have a helpful electronics employee open up the plastic prisons particularly in the Wii, WiiU, and endcap prison sections that often have clearance games, because that's where I found my copy behind a bunch of crap. The cell phone employee was a sad panda when I grabbed the unmarked Destiny Limited Edition right off the giant shelf o' random games and saw that it rang up for $29.98. Got them to drop the "repackaged" Majora's Mask (brand new factory sealed) to half off $39.99 -> $20 instead of the $28.01 it was marked as. Here's me treasure from that store:

Went to a couple Targets today that Brickseek said had lone copies of Pikmin 3.  None of them actually had it, which didn't surprise me.  Found a couple of the already mentioned titles.  Also found a single COD: Advanced Warfare Atlas Pro Edition  :ps4:  at the bottom of one of the clearance bins for $35.98.   After Red Card and 20% off coupon I grabbed it for $27.35 + tax.   DPCI - 207 34 3335

Damn. A Target near me said it had 6 2DS red in stock. Called and they said they had none. Luckily the guy decided to check the back room twice and found 1 in stock. Doubt I'm driving 20 miles for 1 (I wanted 3). The gas just isn't worth it.

Even if they had 3 you probably wouldn't be able to get them all unless you bought a friend with you. My target said that they are limiting 2 and I just called corporate and they said that the store has the right to set the limit or even kick you out of the store if you make too much ruckus about it. Ymmv of course, as some workers just don't give a shit and will sell you as many as you want, but it seems as if they are cracking down

Yeah, I never had a problem buying multiples of clearance items since there is no limit on them. Whenever an employee tried to limit me, I asked to speak to a manager and showed them in their policy that they don't limit those items.

The store (manager) has the right to deny you for any reason though, which that has happened to me before too but barely ever.

On those unique, one-off YMMV type finds that have the "online item", "repackage", "as is" etc. stickers, there is leeway at the employee's discretion to lower the price further. I believe the regular employees are able to lower the price something like 10% further or $5 max without a supervisor/manager override, and supervisors, assistant managers, managers, "GTSL" "team leaders" etc. can adjust it substantially more. I simply pointed out the "clearance 50%" signs plastering the section where I found it and that I had actually found it fallen/hidden behind the shelf stands - it was behind the bottom shelf (100% true), so who knows how long it had been there thus the discount should be greater. They had no problem dropping it further.

And yes indeed, given I drove to Pacoima (about 20 miles each way thankfully no significant traffic either way), ya damn right I'm not leaving empty handed.

It's the plain ones, no games (trust me, I checked *ALL* of the 2DS and 3DS, DSXL, etc. DPCIs). Red back/black front and blue back/black front.

Some of the most fun I had playing an arcade racing game. I find it even more blood-pumping than even Mario Kart.

What's even more blood-pumping though? Wading through a bin like this just to get a Steelbook for Lightning Returns FFXIII:

I've had experience in the past with stores showing a different price on the site & ringing up different in store. That being said, the local stores clearance prices are usually higher than I see posted on CAG. Maybe a week behind or so.

The only stores that I know of having the half off clearance price on the blue ones are the City Targets. For red ones, it's the City Targets and a couple of other regular Targets that show 1 on hand quantity but 0 saleable. Every other store shows $99.99 or $129.99. I wouldn't go out of my way to check at your store unless it was showing the $49.98 price on brickseek/fyndly etc. You could also call and ask guest services to do a price check on the 2 DPCIs. And of course, catch the pricing team when they're doing electronics, usually Monday morning at most stores, and have them scan the units with the pricing gun.

I can't say I'm all that shocked. "Hey guys, come pay $120 for this collector's edition full of digital crap you can't actually collect." I was even on the fence on it at $27.xx (clearance + Red Card + 20% off coupon).
