Didn't have the system long enough to really build up an account. Most of my games were on disc. Plus I only had the stock 500gb hard drive and wasn't thinking about upgrading, so I saw it kinda pointless to accumulate a list as long as my PS3/PS4 account.

Not gonna do this after this post but hey, if someone wants to buy the account, shoot me an offer I guess. That and I still have the phantom of my ps3 account...

3. Well, not 100% useless although I haven't personally touched the feature... but yeah, very expensive if you don't own a 360 library.

5. Not completely bad, but most exclusives are either re-releases or just not that great/get old quick (Sunset Overdrive)

My Xbox One is downstairs collecting dust while my Wii U & PS4 get displayed prominently right beside my Curve in my room.

 
WOW! That division trailer in psn looks really amazing. And looks like people LOVE this game, real curious what reviews will be like ;)

loved the beta but before i spend $60 or $80cad on division, would anyone have a locked spot rental for a week or two to recover some of THEIR costs? i´d prefer sending someone here some dollar over just spending that money stupidly in psn, pm with a price you think is fair :)

maybe we need to raise it up even more because why should people spend $60 on games and the give it away for $3 ? honestly that´s not worth it and i´m even saying that from a renter/phantom perspective. you´d have to rent it to 20 people to even get your purchase back and always have a risk of someone messing with your account, plus all the work to change passwords, send logins, wait for payments, deactivation and so on.

That's true. A friend of mine has a Xone and played it at his house and felt the same about the controller. It really sucks.
The 360 controller was the best. Really an awesome controller.
Ps4 controller is okay, but don't like the analogue sticks next to eacht other.
Worst controller was the PS3 it was made for tiny hands.

Yeah, 360 controller is pretty much perfect. I've actually been using the Windows version all morning playing Goldeneye 64

I personally like the sticks being next to each other. Easier to find them without looking. Being a playstation guy for so long I got so used to the placement of the sticks that I often struggled with the location of the sticks and d-pad on the Xbox controller

we need to do something with the pricing or this thread is dying, people already discussing xbox here LOL, i mean we have so many ps4 games by now available, still almost no resells are being offered. its just always people ASKING for resells, but almost nobody is offering.

a new huge game like division got absolutey no offers (except you, trusty QDizzle as always with a line bigger than in division itself).

looks like people just buy the games now on their mains and in psn sales, and with psn discounts .. and if they share they do it with their friends & family locally :(

i mean sure i´d love to rent the division MAIn for $1.50 or even $3.50 a week but honestly, if *i* bought the game for $60 in psn why would i give it away for that, can´t buy anything for $3.50 and still am $56.50 in psn debt.

i´m not saying a timeshare should be $10/week but maybe longer rental periods could be made like one month for $10 or something, that at least gives the purchasers some value back without too much hassle.

The xbox discussion is about how shitty it is and how much better ps4 is. Gotta face it dude, gamesharing is dead. The timeshare option is nice and all but it's just keeping the option on life support. Nobody is going to sell a share and take the hit they'd have to take financially to sell in a timely manner, it'd be crazy. It also doesn't help things that the biggest game these days is multiplayer only, therefore cutting out the option of sharing between two people completely. Facts is facts dude, the community has shrunk to an almost nonexistent level and it's only getting smaller. Back in the day, the release of a huge game like The Division would bring old vets and casuals into the thread at a dizzying pace. That doesn't happen anymore, it's just the same group of people day in and day out, and nothing is going to change to make this place great as it once was!

I remember the Destiny release all too well, I had to bail on my group because everyone would bail on us when another group only needed one more and nobody was satisfied with the slot they'd agreed to

Yea , i was totally thinking of getting an xbox one after what happened to the gameshare here , i always saw the game codes , accounts and sales , etc . goes cheaper than the ps4 on the market , i gave i was going to get one but when i saw turk opinion about it and some other member who i cant recall confirming what turk said , i removed the thought from my mind .

yes what happened to the game share affected our gaming experinse , even when you share your main with a friend or a family ( which i do ) thats not enough cause alot of games will not have a common interest .

rental services are the only thing that keeps this community going , i never saw a sharing topic bigger than 1000-2000 pages before in here , and now we are +2000 pages .

i find my sharing my main with a friend , renting some titles , and buying used games > sell it > buy others , etc . but still there are alot of games i miss and couldn't get. but thats the situation now and i don't think any thing would change in the future , unless we see a new gaming system or something lol .

yeaaaaaaaa those old days i really miss , there was many groups created for big titles and alot of members appear out of no where and getting popcorn to watch the drama in the thread , it was so fun .

I have said this a couple of times now, but trust me, buying the Xbox ONE is an horrible investment to do now. Just yesterday they cancelled Fable Legends and some other game. The thing is dying.

MS barely have any 1st party studios, they are used to paying for 3rd party to make them exclusives, like EPIC Games, but because the PS4 is so big all 3rd party studios refuse to do exclusives and miss on all the PS4 sales. Just look at how hard Rise of the Tomb Raider bombed on Xbox One.

Seriously, Epic games was married to MS and Xbox last gen and now they are making a game for PS4 and not XBOX One, that says a lot.

PS4 has double the sales and the difference is getting bigger and bigger with PS4 selling 3x more by each week. Its only gonna get worse for Xbox ONE.

Which to be honest, is a damn shame. I absolutely loved this game. Once I finished it, I lost interest in the xbox. When it finally comes to the ps4 I'll absolutely buy it.

People who timeshare their games out can get games free and actually profit in the long run. They can always play on the locked spot while renting out the resell. The topic is dying because after phantoms died, less people started buying games in general. Less resells are being bought and in turn less resells up for sale and timeshare. For most games, people don't want phantoms because they can't go online. Which means resells cost full value.

The alternative for most of us was to join a "library". If too many people are let into those libraries, wait times on games get long and people stop subscribing to them, which means the owners can't get funding new games. The members of these groups need to get first dibs over non-members for the same reason. That's why some people's queues are long, and upping the price per week to non-members might profit the timesharer a little more short term, but long term would harm the subscriber base which is where their steady income comes from. Long term, if someone like QD retains his subscriber base, all of the games he's been buying every week will pay themselves off.

Quite literally, the GS thread has turned into blockbuster. I remember as a kid I would go there expecting to be able to rent a game only to find that it's not in stock. I would go the next week and it's still being rented out. I find that kind of funny. The only solution at this point is to wait your turn on a timeshare, or start up a group with a few people to pass games around, splitting funding. I would suggest checking out gamefly or redbox otherwise.

PS - the division is great, but it's not a life or death situation if you don't play it for a few weeks like the last of us was.

PPS - as an owner of an xbox one, if you have a ps4 just don't get one. the UI is garbage compared to ps4 and outside of dead rising 3, tomb raider, rare replay, halo remakes, and a mediocre halo 4 sequel, not much else in terms of exclusivity.
