Here's a list of all the games that show up on Magog as being discounted for me from cheapest to more expensive. It ain't Putingog, but it's decent enough.

That's nice of you! How much is your Grim Dawn and Victor Vran?

Thanks!
Grim Dawn is $9.69 (after regional discount.) Victor Vran is $5.99, it doesn't seem to have a discount.

Edit: Okay this is interesting. The XP you get from buying a game is based on the item's US price. So if I buy something that's worth five bucks here, but ten in the US, I get 10,000 XP instead of 5,000.

Boo for not being able to exploit regional pricing!

GOG should be ashamed of themselves for charging people exploiting regional differences poor russians US prices for that D&D pack.

So much for gifting stuff - GOG just warned me that any gifts I buy have to be at the US price because reasons. So I have to retract my offer. Boo. :(

Needles-Kane, I've sent you a PM just now. Sorry. :|

I want those Indiana Jones games but with GOG Connect they could become free if I buy them on Steam instead.  One free copy that I will never play is much better than two paid copies that I will never play.

I think GOG's stance on this issue is clear:

Poor people in regions with lower regional pricing should be so poor that they should never be able to afford gifts for anyone else.

Dude, it's Disney. Them, Bethesda and Activision giving away extra copies? Not a snowball's chance in hell.

I'm plenty poor! I mean I live in a third world country, I DESERVE THAT DISCOUNT GODDAMNIT, LET ME SHARE IT WITH PEOPLE

GOG is always pulling me back in with these summer sales. My library with them is already substantial. These summer sales still always have me coming back for more. I'll probably pull the trigger on a PC copy of Witcher 3. And I'm eyeballing a few of the indie games they have on sale.

Surprised nobody posted any codes for the free GOG games yet.  Here are mine which I already have:

Spelunky

W9E3EC11B1FA1D2892

Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Father 20th Anniversary

DHJG5BE6FD2834400E

For the benefit of others, please post if you redeem them.

I took spelunky! Thanks for the code. Heard great things about the game so it's about time I get around to trying it

Thank you very much. I grabbed Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Father 20th Anniversary. If I get far enough with the sale experience to get a copy for myself, I'll be sure to pass that along to somebody else.

You couldn't have beaten me by much on that one.

Summer Sale has started.

Also, you can grab a free copy of System Shock 2 for the next 48 hours. I guess you gotta log into the GOG client to get it though. Hat tip to Tomasety for calling all of this to my attention over in the main PC thread.
This sale seems to have a bit more going on than GOG's usual and maddening insomnia shenanigans, with the points and badges and freebies. Not only that, but there are some significant discounts on some items, above and beyond the normal 66-75% cap. It seems like GOG is stepping up its sale game. I'm glad to see it.

If anybody needs System Shock 2 and is too lazy to install Galaxy or whatever, PM me. I already have it on GOG for some reason.

Are the classic versions of Baldur's Gate/IWD no longer available for sale on GoG? It looks like they've been completey replaced by the enhanced editions. Not that I'm considering moving them from my gamersgate backlog to my GoG backlog or anything. That would be stupid for a drm free game I've already downloaded.

The Enhanced ones include the classic ones as optional downloads.

Incidentally they had a promo to upgrade to Enhanced just before they got pulled from separate sale.

GoG has always had some pretty solid sales. I think a lot of people are disappointed by some of their previous sales because it's usually not the newer material that gets the big price reductions. If you are looking for DRM-free copies of recent releases, or bargain-basement prices on smaller indie games, these sales usually don't dip into the 75%+ off range. If you're looking for, you know, old games, than these sales are a much better bargain.

In the past I have regularly gotten older games, and bundles of older games, for 80% - 90% off. This makes sense, given the fact that the site is called "Good Old Games." I just picked up the X-Com bundle in this sale. Also, the Witcher 3 bundle. (only 50% off, but still a very good price)

I want to buy all those old CRPGs from that one bundle they had but just expensive overall. I will be buying it when it reaches the $10 price point.

On the store pages

I assume those are what you are looking for?

Do the enhanced editions include the same extras that the originals had?

I always avoided buying the BG games on GOG as I have the boxes sitting on a shelf near my desk. But I have been tempted to buy them every time they go on sale.

No, I've been watching sales at all of the major sites, including GOG, long enough to know the difference between a decent sale and a crap sale. GOG has historically had crap sales--maximum sale prices at 66% and a select few items at 75% with no larger discounts. That and lame gimmicks like limited-quantity or -time sales have been a hallmark of GOG sale events pretty much since the site's inception. This one feels like a refreshing change of pace because they've started mirroring some of the kinds of incentives that Valve used to feature on seasonal sales before they stopped giving a rat's ass about the sales and just said, "Here's a stupid clicker game or a pointless set of daily deals, knock yourself out."

maybe publishers changed with the enhanced editions or something, some of them are still available in the hasbro pack:
https://www.gog.com/promo/20160608_summer_bundle_hasbro_classics

NWN1/2, planescape, couple others
No, he's referring strictly to the Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale games, which are the only ones that Beamdog has released "enhanced editions" of.

Yeah I've never liked those extremely limited "insomnia" style sales that GOG has done in the past along with their larger discount for buying an entire bundle pricing structure.

I also find it hilarious that "pausing downloads" had to be patched into Galaxy and was not a launch feature for a game downloading client. I do like the ability to rollback games to a previous version and to do manual updates only (this has never worked great for me on Steam).

I've had trouble getting Galaxy to track my Witcher 3 playtime and achievements also, but I'm not sure if that is the fault of the client or some mod I am running.

What's weird for me is that Galaxy shows about 10 more hours than the game itself does when I check it. Maybe the game is not counting time when you have it launched but haven't actually loaded or started a game, and therefore provides a more intelligent and accurate estimate.

Of the bundles unveiled thus far, these are the ones that I own in their entirety:

Star Trek

Rollercoaster Tycoon

Ancient City Builders

Hasbro Classics

Best Of Bulldog

X-Pack

Wing Commander Saga

Unreal Games

Interplay "Complete" Collection

Heroes Of Might & Magic

I'm sure some of these are cheaper in Russia for those hearty souls who aren't afraid to use a VPN to get around GOG's interesting interpretation of their "one world, one price" policy. For anybody who doesn't want to go that route though, I'm in a position to help with gifting games from those bundles.

Oh and in case it wasn't already apparent to any of you, the bundles this time around don't appear to have a time limit within the sale. That is, they run until the end of the sale once they are revealed. You can see all previous bundles by clicking "More Bundles" near the top of the page.

PM me if you need help.

Has anyone had any trouble downloading during this sale? I grabbed 7th Guest, and the download keeps failing in firefox with around 300kb left.

Never had issues downloading from them before. Don't feel like installing the client just to fix a broken download. Hhrrmm.

Edit: It downloaded okay tonight.  Not sure what the problem was yesterday.

There's a XP leaderboard up.  The leader has 1525270.  So, that would mean he or she spent over 1500 dollars.

I picked up a pair of indie games today. Undertale and Read Only Memories. Undertale was only a decent deal, not great. (around 25% off I think) Read Only Memories was marked down to 50% off. I've heard good things about both, so I'm looking forward to playing them.

ROM was just $1 in a recent Humble and yes it did come with a DRM free copy.

I had an extra Steam key for it (and maybe you can gift the DRM free portion too in Humble? I never tried) but too late now I guess. :p

well, someone has to supply us cheap ass americans. :D
Well, GOG needs to get some more exclusives on their service, get more GOG keys into bundles, or come up w/ some better pricing schemes - b/c they aren't even on Steam's level in terms of any of that stuff.

GOG galaxy continues to impress: Updated TW3 today from 1.21 to 1.22. Galaxy had to download 13 GB but the patch file size on the website is only 2.1 GB!

Yeah, GOG is not so great for anything released in the past few years. I'd much rather pay full price on steam for a newish release so I can get constant updates than pay far less to get it on GOG.

I only buy shit on GOG that I know I won't need to update.

Close to getting Spelunky. I'm waiting for some extra sales (of mine, to get extra cash) to drop to get the rest of the EA / D&D games I'm missing.

A friend gifted me his Dreamfall Chapters Season Pass key so all I want is Gabriel Knight Remastered. I'm surprised that hasn't been bundled yet.

Played some Interstate 76 and not having any issues. Was expecting some after looking at the forums.

Other than that, I just bought Harvester, Outlaws, Indy/Emperor's Tomb, and Afterlife. The last three were only a few dollars less than getting the entire lucasarts bundle, but I also already have those elsewhere.

I'm close to Spelunky, also. Trying to decide what to buy to get me basically free Spelunky.

Might wind-up being Sea Dogs [original], which ain't even on Steam.
