I was looking for opinions for Last Day of June. It has fairly good ratings and looks like it tells an emotional tale of loss. The look and music from the preview video appeal to me. How are the puzzle elements if anyone has played? I trust the responses in this thread. Thanks
i played through about half last night and i think it's very good, i never even heard of it until this sale and i'm surprised it isn't more popular

Thanks. I decided to pull the trigger and pick it up. It just looks like it has a charm I will appreciate. Hope to get a little downtime tomorrow to try it out.

Here's what released the two weeks before it launched:

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

Mages of Mystralia

The Escapists 2

Madden NFL 18

F1 2017

Absolver

Ark: Survival Evolved

Everybody's Golf

Mario + Rabbids KIngdom Battle

Sonic Mania

Windjammers

Yakuza Kiwami

Pillars of Eternity CE

Agents of Mayhem

Matterfall

Nidhogg 2

Observer

Undertale

The devs picked a bad time to launch at the end of August, but I don't know if there's a better spot during the holiday season that follows.

Trying to decide if I should pull the trigger on Persona 5, Oxenfree and mutant league football. It would be around $50 after the coupon.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure if it was either through the Sonyrewards.com or PlayStation.com page.Best bet is try PlayStation page then contact us and hit the chat button.
Thank you so much! Just did it yesterday and they sent me a new code right away. Had to wait a bit because PSN was down and I couldn't sign in on the site, but once I did, it was super simple.

Mutant Football League is totally awesome, definitely get that one, it's super fun to play with friends.

Just pulled it on persona 5. I liked 4 even though it was pretty fucking weird. I like the jrpg and whatever else I can figure out. I also got oxenfree and am liking it so far. Have no pretense about it so it’s like of like point and click adventure with maybe horror elements. The teens so far are annoying but the setting is kind of near. It’s super cheap so why not.

Oxenfree was free on GOG, even if you don't want to play it on PC for some inscrutable and illegitimate reason, it has a good chance of getting PS+'d I would think.

You know you can stream PC games to a TV right? Or just connect the PC to a TV lol. It's 2018 people.

I wasn't inviting everyone to list their inscrutable and illegitimate reasons, I was just making someone who might be interested in the information aware of the likelihood the game might come to PS+ sometime soon.

here is a secret: they have achievement for Pc games too. And couch is also an option for pc gaming
I'm not a fan of how achievements have been implemented on the PC and I don't care to have all the mess that comes with putting a PC in my home theater like a noisy tower for one. I know you can build a smaller box but then you have to compromise on power and might as well be on the console in the first place.

I know this is random but I'm debating about picking one of the following games up in this sale: Werewolves Within, Last Day of June and Portal Knights. Can anyone sell me on any of these?

On another note DOOM VFR and Paranormal activity are on sale at Best Buy right now. Any thoughts on those games? VFR seems tempting at $16 with GCU but even at that price I wonder if it might go lower due to the low debut of its MSRP.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

After much debating and back and forth, I finally decided to cave and buy WW. So I can only recommend it so that there are more people on the server to play with. I also got Last Day of June because it looks unique and has good word of mouth.

Doom VFR for $16 is a great price (I got a solid 6-8 hours out of it). It just came out in December so I don't know if it'll dip any lower than that before the holidays. I was just discussing Paranormal Activity over on the PSVR thread, but it's a decent price.

PC master race are like door to door religious groups. Going around and telling people why they think their way is the right one even though nobody asked.

Which game are you talking about here?

that's why Steam achievement is superior. That annoying sound break immersion.
But the box popping up in the corner doesn't? And if you turn that off, what's the point of achievements?

I don't understand you computer nerds that get all defensive when people are not as nerdy as you.

As you'll notice, the post that set this off (mine) had nothing to do with extolling the virtues of PC, let alone suggesting a "right way" to game exists. I was merely pointing out that because the game had a GOG giveaway on PC, it has a good chance of getting on PS+ soon.

Despite that, several people immediately got so insanely triggered by the mere incidental allusion to the existence of PC anywhere near them, they decided to devolve into arguments about why consoles and chesterfields are wonderful and gaming on a computer sucks, even though nobody asked.

A certain breed of console-only gamers are extremely insecure that other people dare to game on multiple platforms. To stick with your inappropriate choice of religious analogies, they're like groups who spot a person walking by in a kippa minding his own business, and then surround him and beat him with baseball bats screaming "WHAT?! YOU THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN US?!?!"

Used the 10% code to grab Divinity Original Sun for $10.47. Thought that would be a good price for the backlog. And I’ll be able to olay this one before the next game comes out on PS4.

A lot of "PC master race" people have consoles though, so that logic isn't entirely true. Sure, some will do that, but some are more open minded because they own a gaming PC and multiple consoles.

I personally buy multiplatform stuff on PC and only buy exclusives on consoles.

Still debating about whether to do the same. I'm on the fence, but I have a day or so more to figure it out.

Is PSN down at the moment, or is something wrong with my PS4? I'm trying to download smaller indie games, I have 16 gb of space, and I keep getting an "X" on the progress bar that says cannot download.

Well, that's a flat out lie.

Right here, you say there is no legitimate or understandable reason for not playing a game on a PC. People responded with reasons why they don't. I would argue that your response to that is way more emotional and defensive than anything you are responding to. That you then compared this discussion to beating someone with baseball bats is laughably ridiculous.

It was staring at me in my cart and I just leapt. Buyers remorse is a low risk as I like the genre, it’s recieved praise from most, and it was only $10.

I’m not sure what you mean by SFIV running slow. Can you be more specific?
To me it just seems that the characters in IV move more like the characters in gears of war. They feel weighted down and it's probably because I'm so used to 3rd strike which runs smooth and fast paced but not like MvC series.Sorry but it's hard to explain and I hope you kinda get what I'm saying .

Decided to use my 10% on The Invisible Hours for PSVR. Looks worth it for $16ish. I finally opened up and set up the Skyrim Bundle I got from over the holidays and I’m more impressed than I thought I’d be, it’s incredibly immersive. I thought I’d regret buying
a PSVR but not anymore.

Right there is me attempting to avert this conversation, not start it.

I am quite aware of allllllll the reasons, and even more acutely aware of how tirelessly eager certain people are to share them. That's why I felt obliged to make crystal clear that I wasn't interested in that boring conversation.

That you then compared this discussion to beating someone with baseball bats is laughably ridiculous.
Yes, that was literally the point. No one could possibly read that comparison and take the point of it to be anything other than to be laughably ridiculous.

I am quite aware of allllllll the reasons, and even more acutely aware of how astonishingly eager certain people are to share them over and over and over again, that's why I felt obliged to make it astonishingly clear that I wasn't interested in that boring and tired conversation, and was only bringing up Oxenfree's GOG giveaway to establish its potential to be in a future PS+ lineups.

Yes, that was literally the point. How on earth could you have read that comparison and thought the point was to be anything other than laughably ridiculous? You clearly must have had a bad day, my sympathies.
So your attempt to avert the conversation was to bring it up and then be condescending towards the other side? That seems pretty effective, good job.

Thanks, I thought it was an excellent post as well, very clearly and succinctly expressing my distaste and disinterest for this conversation while also bringing up useful information, all in one short sentence. I appreciate the recognition.

Yeah, we all saw how effective it was. Way to go.
