I would guess that the images from Genki are credible. What's interesting to me is that that leak came along with a predicted April 2025 release date. If true, those would be insane level hush tactics operative to avoid affecting '24 holiday season sales.
Yeah seems like the floodgates have opened now that the holidays are over

Most people don't watch regular TV anymore so the only places they'd find commercials even on would be pluto and such. Netflix and Hulu if they don't pay for ad free. Otherwise commercials will go the way of the dinosaur. And they have no one to blame but themselves.

Depending on interests and ad placements I assume most people are more likely to see an ad for a game on insert their social media here ____ anyway.
Us sports fans are still stuck with commercials unfortunately.

Isn't that the start of their fiscal year?

I assumed that the grip was an accessory by the genki company that posted the video, but maybe not. Hopefully Nintendo announces this thing soon.

Oh, I see that now. When I first watch it they were sliding the grips off and I thought that was part of the controller. Ok, nevermind, will need a pro controller most likely again unless the current Switch pro is good enough. I don't see that much difference in controls. Just an extra small button on the right side.

Yeah a port of the weakest game in a niche series is going to sell new consoles
You obviously don't know the definition of what niche is. Unless that was supposed to be sarcasm and you're just pretending to be ignorant?

This is all ignoring that these games can obviously move more copies on a more successful console than the wiiu. And xeno has gotten even bigger than back when blade 1 released on wii. And they wouldn't even localize it.

speaking of consoles. I don't understand bamco leaving the tales of games on the vita.

Under 9 million sold between 7 releases: XBC, XBC 3D, XBC: DE, XBCX (Cross), XBC 2, Torna & XBC 3 on a user base of over 350 million consoles Wii, Wii U, 3DS & Switch. That's the definition of niche. This isn't about the series moving more than on Wii U since there was only one release on Wii U. He was insinuating that XBX DE would push Switch 2 sales. Also the series has gotten less popular sales wise since the original.

Between releases the Original game has sold the most. Followed by 2, 3 & Cross being last. There is a decline between games even on the uber popular Switch XBC3 sold less than XBC2. I own every game in series and enjoy them. I'm not that much of a fanboy to claim these are system sellers though. That's just ignorant or are you just pretending?

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 seems to be the lowest on metacritic, must be the art
Yeah it's one point higher than XBC2, but fans are unanimous in the criticism of the characters & story or lack of story. The little that is there was bad & the ending was terrible. The trailers for XBX DE show that they are clearly beefing up & expanding the ending so that is very welcome. Xenoblade 1, 2 & 3 all have great deep stories & good to great casts of characters.

Now, I'm not a fanboy, but I have spoken to all the fans and they all happen to agree with me, so I'm a fanboy of the fanboys really. But Xenoblade? A fan? How gauche

While I agree there are going to be very few people buying a Switch 2 whose decision will be strongly swayed by XBX, you definitely don’t understand the word “niche.”
Niche (adjective) - denoting products, services, or interests that appeal to a small, specialized section of the population.
What series would you consider niche?

The new trailer warmed my heart. I'm glad they fixed the ending. Looking forward to finally having an actual payoff to the game. The new area looks fire too.

That being said I'm cheap and will wait for a steep price drop. All of the Switch Xenoblade games got clearenced out at one point.

Xenoblade Chronicles DE -$10 Walmart
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - $30 Gamestop
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna - $15 Gamestop
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - $20 Walmart

Lastly those who played the Wii U version know that the game had long load times & bad pop up issues. That was no a problem if you downloaded the data packs that were over 20gb. Would be nice to know if those issues are fixed or are we getting more data packs for the Definitive Edition.

I regret not jumping on the $15 Torna when I had the chance. Good thing it was eventually reprinted.

Indeed. Niche I'd consider something like the original sales numbers of p3 vanilla and other atlus titles. Before they got larger prints because of p3 building up their userbase. Them using adult swim anime block to advertise it definitely helped. That's actually why I pre-ordered it.

But yeah Where it is more in the 50k and under territory. That tends to be most rpgs not named pokemon persona, tales of, fire emblem, ff, dq.

Games that sell millions being niche is one of the dumbest troll comments I've seen. By that logic all video games are "niche". no video game has ever sold even 30% of the systems base. Outside of maybe ones that come bundled with the consoles Like sports did the wii, tetris on handheld, duck hunt/Mario on nes etc. But counting those as sold is questionable at best. They just use that to look good on paper to anyone who wouldn't know better.

The Legends of Heroes & Ys series have both sold millions. They are considered niche RPG's. Fighting games sell millions and the genre is considered niche. We're talking about game series not single pack in games. If a game series has only sold 50k or under it would be a complete flop. Also you should calm down instead of rage posting you sound [redacted] :).

Almost all the Xenoblade games crack the top 50 switch games sold. So obscure, only the real RPG fans know about these occluded gems

That's just not true. Only Xenoblade Chronicles 2 cracked the top 50. It's at 48 and that's going to drop because Zelda Echoes of Wisdom is right under and closing fast. We see you're an obvious troll account, but at least be honest when you're pretending to add to the topic.

Almost all cracked the top 50 in that 1 and 3 were like in the next ten slots down.

So top 60.

That one dude was right tho X isn't going to sell systems because there are already three entries on the system, anyone interested in Xenoblade already has a switch they just went on to say nonsensical things.

Also there's only one game in existence that I would ever be comfortable saying fans unanimously agree it's the worst and it's Paper Mario Sticker Star, anyone else is a liar.

Thanks for correcting your misinformation.

Troll on.

Finally purging the backlog. I'll never get around to playing these games and I'm just done buying games I'll never play. Over half of the Switch games are going. The last couple of years have showed me just how little I play it. All but four are sealed.

This is what's left. Sticking to only Nintendo 1st party & a few 3rd party exclusives.

Holy hell did Fire Emblem Engage do terrible compared to Three Houses, hopefully the next entry goes back to being more like Awakening that brought people into the series and out of niche and less on crappy story stuff and petting waifus.

The gulf in sales between Houses and Engage is huge compared to the gap between Engage and the freaking Dynasty Warriors clone.

Not be a stickler but I believe Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition should be considered first party Nintendo games now. Some of those games are also quicker plays like Super Lucky's Tales and Disney platformer pack. It's understandable though. I may put some games out to pasture (donate or Ebay) since I have more unopened unplayed games than I would like.

I'm right there with you. Over the last year I've been slowly purging my stuff. I expect I'll probably do a large one like this soon with my Playstation and Switch stuff.
