LEGO Deals 3

What do you guys do with your sets after you build them? Display? Piece them out for MOCs? I’m sitting on piles of incomplete sets that my kids played with and right now they’re just getting tossed into totes (mostly Star Wars which don’t really interest me). The amount of space Lego takes up is keeping me from wanting to buy more.

Maybe I should just sell off some of my sealed stuff so it feels less overwhelming 😂
 
Does anyone buy knockoffs on AliExpress? I'm looking for Star Trek theme versions of Tales of the Space Age 21340. I found one on Temu but it's $10, when I for the four in the real set for less than $30.

I stick them in plastic bins and stick them in my mom's basement. 😂

I was going to organize them but never got around to it.

I tried buying something not-quite-right from Ali years ago and it got stopped in Customs. I never could get in contact with the right person to figure out what I needed to do, and ended up giving up. The contents of that box are probably in a landfill somewhere. It definitely added a mental hurdle to my shopping there, enough that I rarely even look at the site unless someone links to it.
 
Pick a Brick is up and running again with 15,000+ pieces including Wolf Pack torso.

There is also the prosthetic leg, 84133, but it looks like an error with the grey being the hip and the blueish color being the prosthetic leg. Will be worth millions! 😁
 
Since Lego had free shipping on orders over $35, I placed two orders. The two items I wanted were each $40 so perfect to redeem two rewards. The Micro Command Centre is so cute. Love the little monorail. The other reward was Crabmeat because I love Sonic.
 
Target Circle this week gave me a $10 off $80. It sometimes differs per account so check. EDIT - Doesn't work with Lego.
A bunch of sets are the normal 15-20% off. Some new poly bags too, including a cute little Millennial Falcon.

Next week is Circle Week and there will be 30 percent off certain sets with the Up House shown. Hopefully it's 30 percent off the discounted normal prices.

LEGO has increased the Jurassic World prices. The record profits they made this year weren't enough. Plus they know they can just go 'It's Trump's fault!' and the braindead LEGO cultists will soak it right up. Yet when the tariffs go away will the price go down? They went down when the price of gas went down right? People are idiots. :ROFLMAO:

They are. It will do nothing for prices but hopefully fix quality control.

But that's what I'm saying, everyone blames Trump but the prices won't go down even if the tariffs are lifted.

I'm not a Pokemon fan at all. I've played Pokemon Y for 8 hours. My only complaint is going to be the fact that Lego, who leads the way in brick toys, 🙄 can only make ball joints in grey. Yet I have a MEGA Pokemon whose always $8-$9 on Amazon with orange ball joints and he looks great.

Supposedly we will be getting a Boeing 747 with Shuttle in May. I always wanted the Town version from 30+ years ago. Sadly this one is a micro model with 2417 pieces and $230.

A new Wall-e and Eve in September for $70.
 
put together the Walt Disney camera set today, end product is pretty dope but the actual build wasn't amongst the most fun I've ever done
 
Can someone with children explain what the purple demon head thing is supposed to be?
I also think LEGO makes $2 billion dollars a year not by price gouging but by making a watering can without a handle.

I secured my Shire preorder to get Mr. Smeagle and Mr. Deagle. I kicked myself for not buying the hobbit house last time they made one so I wasn't going to miss out this time.
 
I bought it, but mostly because I want the GWP. I have the older Bag End so.

Damn thing isn't the Shire. Nor Hobbiton.

It's the equivalent to a New York State set with only the Chrysler building

I got my email that mine shipped today. I didn't want to risk not being able to get it in store. Last LOTR set at my store had a line that went down the block. I'm guessing the shipped ones will not include a poster.

They are doing 2x loyalty points on Rivendell and Barad-Dur starting today.
 
I'm trying to decide who is more scummy, people who defend LEGO pricing or people who defend Nintendo pricing. :ROFLMAO:

April 15 at 11:30am Eastern Lego will show off some May 4th sets. Also rumoured we will be getting a Christmas TIE set(later this year and not shown), which is kind of BS because the Christmas X-Wing was a LEGO employee but whatever. Still interesting.
 
Target is having a 15% off sale on select sets. Most of which have been cheaper, including the last target sale.

However the AC Town Hall is 46$ and a few Speed Champ sets are $17 to $21ish.

I’m done with it! It was a lot of fun to build. I do wish they had named it Bag End and not The Shire. The garden was one of my favorite parts, with all the lettuce and pumpkins and just how green the set is. The square tree is an interesting choice, I’m wondering if it’s for the dragon firework? It does connect to the back of it.

Target has 20% off select Lego this week. Main thing I really noticed is big Simba is $91.19. Big grey baseplate is less than $9 and Captain Rex mini Y Wing is $6.39.

The Rivendell set is a 'drop' in the Best Buy app on Friday, with the Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale set next Thursday.

No idea if the discount will be better than the existing 10% for Total Members (heh).
 
Lego is having an Easter sale. There isn't a ton of sets but the Wednesday set is 30% off. There is a big Monkey Kid (RIP) van / truck and a bunch of a the second wave of Animal Crossing sets (So those must be selling super poorly.).

Honey has 10% off the original prices so thats $9 off for the Wednesday set and $7 for the Monkie Kid one.

I actually was going to grab the Wednesday set for my wife from them but then saw Amazon had matched the price and had an additional 10% coupon on it, so it was $61.44 with tax for me from Amazon for Wednesday and Enids dorm room.
