That bundle is a ripoff. Cheaper to buy the games seperately when they go on sale every few weeks. But I guess they will probably swindle some people out of money who will watch the show with S2 dropping and buy the games at full price.

The first hour of that game was one of the greatest gaming experiences of my life. It might because I played it at release and it was one of my most anticipated games ever (having been converted from a Primarily Nintendo gamer to a Sony gamer, in great part due to ND's Uncharted games). I ws 26 and played many well regarded games, but LoU was an experience unlike any other. I still remember that, after beating it, I didn't play any games for like 2 months... except the MP.

Yeah, and the sad thing is it was spotted on April Fool's day with some info leaking. Someone needs to run the numbers vs Skyrim for releases because I think we have a new winner.

Reading that all I can think of is how I have started MGS Phantom Pain like 5 different times and just can't get into it...love the series since the NES days forward, but that one...ugh. I think once I got to where you could tie a balloon around guys and transport them back to base.

Same for me. Played the open in PS3 back in the day, never got into it, and never touched it again. Yet I continued to buy the PS4 and PS5 versions...

I actually have TLOU2 on my wish list. Feel like I should have the set, but the sale (physical) has not been enticing enouhg (or I have missed it)
 
So I have been seeing posts about Premium being different prices for different people so I decided to check on mine and low and behold, it expired on the 8th and I am only seeing full prices when I click subscribe. Did I do something wrong? Why isn't it $89.99 for Premium or whatever? Looks like I need to wait for the sale again to subscribe. Isn't there usually a Spring sale in April or May?

So is that the trick? When I turned off auto renew weeks ago, I did not see any discount and why would I get a discount if auto renew is on? That means Sony knows I want to renew no matter the price. I am currently playing through The Last of Us Part 2(reluctantly)which I guess I own because I think it was given away when I bought a PS5 so I haven't been using my Premium to notice it expired.

If you had Playstation Now before before the new Playstation+ tiered offerings were implemented a couple years ago you were grandfather in to a lower annual renewal as long as you keep auto renew on. A lot of us got cheap PS Now subs to convert to PS+ premium and got grandfathered in at a lower price for renewing in the future. If you didn't take advantage of that back when everything was converted then you wouldn't have a lower renewal price.

I had playstation now but I guess I didn't have auto renew on. Looks like a fail for me.

You didn't miss much. The lowest grandfathered price is $80. I'm on $100. Premium was recently $100/year last time it was on sale, so you're only paying an extra $20 from the lowest grandfathered price, or $1.67/month. Though this might have been the first time it was discounted so low; it's usually $120 on sale.
 
Mine just renewed on April 8.

3 or 4 days before, I went to my account and it said 79.99 even though auto renew was off. I turned it on and it renewed on the 8th at 79.99 like it said.

The price is already good tbh. $450 with Astro Bot for the disc drive model is a great value compared to trying to build a PC right now, and it's cheaper than the Series X.

People expecting consoles to hit the ridiculous lows that they used to will be waiting forever. Even without tarriffs I think $350 for digital and $400 for disc would be the floor pricing for PS5 during its lifespan.

One of the main reasons I skipped buying the PS3 at launch. I did eventually cave once they said they were going to remove the PS2 backwards compatibility from the PS3 and then bought one. Still have my OG PS3 and was playing the Puppeteer last week. That games rules. It is really sad you can't download and play that game natively on any current hardware. PS3 has so many great games I wish I could play on current hardware natively. I'm not a fan of streaming games. It never really works great.

I'm saying the people that wanted a ps5 in the beginning of the gen said they'll wait til its cheaper. I guess its not going well for them as the prices are inceeasing insteadve decreasing as those people thought back then.
 
I see the Grandia HD Collection is $19.99 right now in the updated Spring Sale. Never played them way back when. For anyone familiar with them, are they worth playing at this point? Thoughts on the price? 50% off right now, and digital is way cheaper than the physical release at this point.

I remember playing Grandia on the original PS and it's still one of my favorite games. The battle system was unique at the time and enjoyed the change.
 
I platinumed Animal Well before it left PS Plus. Not my favorite metroidvania but overall it was OK.

Losing Kena Bridge of Spirits really stings! I finished the game and got all of the trophies ages ago except the one for completing the game on Master difficulty. I might have to pick up the game on sale if I want the platinum.

No idea how Grandia HD holds up today but it was one of my favorites on the Dreamcast! I think it was one of the first RPGs to have an active battle system. The reviews on steam are overwhelmingly positive.

I haven't played the HD collection, but I have beat Grandia II on the Dreamcast and loved it. My favorite RPG on the Dreamcast.
 
I am glad that I bit the bullet last Black Friday and got the PS5 Pro with the disc drive (had to wait for AMAZON/Bestbuy to get stock). I don't think we will ever have another Playstation console compatible with physical media and I have a mountain of old PS4/PS5 discs that would be useless without the drive.

I have had that Grandia collection on my wishlist for several years and I have never seen it drop below $20. See the graph at the link below. I feel like it will never go below $20 if that helps you decide on whether to wait or buy now.

I feel like digital game prices don't seem to plummet to super low levels anymore. I've had a ton of games on my wishlist since release and they just refuse to go below like a certain threshold from the original price. Chrono Cross HD is one I don't think I've seen below $8 and I am Setsuna I haven't seen below $11 I think.
