Any turn based RPG's on Xbox?

boy do you have the wrong console if your looking for Turnbased RPGs or RPGs in general. =P The Xbox really lacks any decent RPGs.

Metal Dungeon was so-so. If your a Huge Final Fantasy you will most likely not like it all that much.

Anyone know if 'Crimson Sea' was turned based?
 
I had a Ps2 but it broke. Then i bought a Gamecube and didnt like it, so i sold it. Then i bought my Xbox. I guess I'll go buy a Psone and FFVII,FVIII,FIX, and Chrono Cross. That should take care of my RPG fix..
 
Playstation is still the console for RPGs, GameCube and Xbox are getting them very slowly. Hopefully next-gen we'll see more on the N5 and Xbox2.
 
The next turn based RPG for Xbox will be Lord of the Rings the Third Age.
It is made to be similar to Final Fantasy. It will be available for all consoles but I think it will be Xbox's first good turn based game.

BTW KOTOR is not turn based it is real time with the option to pause real time to go into the real time menu. Best RPG on XBOX!

No, it is turn based with the illusion of real time.

mmn hit it on the head. D&D Rules are turn based not real time.

Gladius. Pretty good game you can find for cheap nowadays.
 
Instead of buying a playstation you could really go retro and buy the best system money can buy nowadays.. A Super Nintendo home to some of the best RPGS avail.
 
Yeah i remember a game called 7th Saga for Super Nintendo. I loved that game. It is a turn based rpg I believe.

I forgot about the Lord of the rings RPG..that game is gonna rock.
 
7th Saga is by far the best RPG ever created, that and Secret of Evermore for the SNES. I also loved SNES Shadowrun, never really played it on the Genesis.
 
Gladius isnt like a FF game, its a SRPG with no real story and that goodness, pretty much just travelling and battling, its pretty fun for awhile though.

Yet another confirmation that KotOR is turn based, because it uses the Star Wars D&D rules.
 
well the facts are that turn based rpg is were there are turns, kotor clearly has turns. LOL turn based also means that it is not action, kotor is not action. You cant attack an enemy when its there turn.

Nope. Not unless you count LOTR : Third Age, which sucks.

Is it really that bad or just mediocre? It's going to be cheap pretty soon. It doesn't look like anything special, but seems fun enough.

Its a solid game, it plays well, its fun, the story is meh. Basically its just nothing new, at all, in the least. That's why it gets panned so often. I'd say if you're a fan of the FF style of RPG as well as the LOTR novels/films, its worth playing.

It has a few more that are non japanese style RPGs.... but not many.
Xbox legends. Hacking with minor char developement. Not a bad game, my GF likes it.

Well its got a ton of hack n slashers. Bard's Tale, Xmen Legends, Demon Stone, D&D Heroes, Baldurs Gate 1 & 2, and Enclave come to mind.

And in terms of "more traditional" RPGs you're limited to Sudeki, Morrowind, KOTOR 1 & 2, Fable, and LOTR : Third Age.

There may be some others I'm not thinking of, but that's really it. Xbox is definitely not the platform for RPGs.
