Can you save in Sonic Mega Collection for GC???

I was just about to buy this today and then remembered reading somewhere that you cannot save your progress in all of the included games? Is that true?? I *hate* when you can't save progress since I usually only can play for 15 minutes at a time.

nope, can't save, but you can use passwords from the originals to jump levels.

yeah, you can use the original codes...BUT, you can save in Sonic 3, since it originally had a built in save feature

I would prefer an easy save option, but at least with passwords you can still not have to replay the early levels every time....so I think I can live with that!

yeah, you also unlock some games based on play time, it auto saves whenever you play a game, which confused me at first as I thought it was saving my game, but it was just saving time played.

Wow! I had never heard of such a feature--I kind of like it! As a guy who is a poor gamer (I never beat games), I like the idea of unlocking based on time played. Cool!

yeah, this is where i point you over to gamefaqs.com to find the codes, as well as the exact # of times you need to start a certain game to unlock the other games. If i had the patience, i'f have unlocked Ristar...one of the best platformers ever IMO

oh yeah, I guess it's not "play time" but rather number of times played that unlocks some games. Been forever since I played it. You can just start a game, quit, restart, quit and after about 50 or times of doing this, you unlock the game.

if you own an xbox i would hold out until the mega collection comes to the xbox...it includes all the games in the GC version and 7 (i think) gamegear games

NOOOOOO, i never even heard about the xbox version, and i just bought the GC version when it dropped in price not too long ago, sigh.

Xbox version was announced not that long ago, they cleverly waited til sometime after the GCN price drop to give details about it.
