Some of my family members are moving out into the country soon where there are no wired broadband connections available. They're used to living with the convenience of DSL, so they're looking for an alternative source of internet with a strong connection outside of cable and DSL.

The satellite internet providers in the area (Wild Blue, etc.) have bandwidth caps that more than likely prevent Hulu usage and heavy multiplayer gaming, so they don't seem tob e a viable option. We were looking at alternatives, such getting unlimited data transfer on some sort of wireless device then using it as a mobile hotspot, but I'm not sure what kind of throughput we'd get. I'm wondering a couple things:

1) How fast is the fastest wireless internet phone speed when used as a mobile hotspot? Would it work for internet gaming at the very least -- I suppose I can live with needing to download torrents slowly for any TV stuff.

2) Are there any internet phones that can feed both a wireless hotspot and offer an Ethernet port for wired internet? One person who might live there doesn't have a wireless xbox 360 connector.

3) Would purchasing a repeater help make a mobile hotspot device a potent solution? We have been considering buying this one: http://www.repeaterstore.com/reviews/zboost-yx545.html

Any other advice on how to get a reliable, potent connection in the country would be appreciated. We are just trying to find some way to maintain their lifestyle while they live out in the middle of no where.
