Alright PS3 people, who's got it?

yay! very good mixes and some interesting gameplay elements. To get perfects it's gonna be tough, esp with the analog nature of the crossfader.

After playing the game more, looks like they really should have put more thought into making the crossfader better, esp with the crossfader spikes. It's nearly impossible to get those perfect for me. As a game though, they've done what Konami should have done (after what? more than 10 years of beatmania rehash releases?) and actually innovated the genre.

From the indications on this board, doesn't look like many people bought this game, and especially not for PS3, which is sad. Perhaps that means i'll be able to pick up a 2nd renegade edition turntable for cheap later :). I think the biggest turnoff for people in this game is the price point.

I'm definitely intrigued. Most of what I've heard review-wise has been very positive. I need to head down to Best Buy and give the demo unit a spin, but honestly yeah, that price is just a bit much for me.

I just opened up my renegade edition last night and played it for about 2 hours. And i completely agree about the cross fader, Im constantly moving it to far when trying to put it back in the middle. Some of its a feel thing, but its still very difficult to get it right. And talk about some tough trophys so many are for hard or better.

Gotta love how all these ps3 hero games have the dongle, a bit annoying. I have like 3 rockband, 1 guitar hero, and 1 dj hero dongle now hah.....

I'm getting a bit better at the crossfader, but I think the game is most fun on harder difficulties when you really start juggling the fader and the buttons and scratches around. But it's those hectic times that the fader's lack of click fails you the most.

looks like it's dropped down the 80th place for the 360 version. I guess when the cheapest version is $119 MSRP, it's gonna be a hard sell. I think the first guitar hero sold relatively modestly at first. For some reason I can't see this game hitting very mainstream though. I was only able to swallow the price because I spent $390 on that stupid IIDX controller, so $119 semed like a bargain to me (ECA coupons helped even more :)

On a side note, anyone try online? couldnt find anyone in matchmaking at all on all difficulties haha........

I love the Music in DJ Hero 100x better. But DJ does not give you that ROCKSTAR feel of being in Shea Stadium Rocking out for 70,000 people. A DJ will get what 20,000 at some massive once a year festival thats made up of 20 other bands.

DJ Hero Feels unfinished. You stand there and move the turn table Back and forth. Rocking with a Guitar or Drums, or even the cornyness of Drunk Karaokee with friends on the Mic is way better than DJ Hero.

I would buy DJ Hero for the 90 Tracks alone, however GH5 just hands down on every level beats DJ Hero.

Worst thing of all DJ Hero, the Background scenery girls dancing twirling light batons in clubs is just plain booring. #1. they are wearing 80% too much clothing to think its a real club go go girl, and #2. the dance animations are so canned and repeated they replay too often. #3. There are No expressions in their face.

You might want to play the game on a harder difficulty. I've played a few songs on easy to get the 5 stars on songs I can't get w/ hard... and it's pretty dull. No crossfader action at all.

man It's pretty impossible to find an online game on any setting harder than normal, and even then it's pretty sparse...

Only managed to play 1 normal guy with the guy rage quitting after the first song

wow, guess there aren't that many people playing on the ps3. I'm managing to get pretty high on the leaderboards. This has never happened for anything before o_O

i got a used dj hero set. but im having trouble sync it with the ps3.

What I'm doing:
*i followed the instructions of turning on the ps3 and loading up the game.
*push the pshome button the turntable to turn on the controller and it flashes red.
*push and hold the connect button on the dongle
*push the pshome button again so that it flashes red quicker.

at this point, i suspect that the two are supposed to sync. but it never does. the turntable goes from blinking fast to slow again. Am I doing anything wrong? i got a new regenade edition and used it to sync. but i get the same results. is the dongle defective? turntable? both?

hmmm, I've never even had to do the initial sync, they should be paired.
You should be able to sync it before you get into the game even.

This is the first musical instrument game I've ever bought. So far I'm enjoying it. I had to switch the turntable button orientation to the right in order to get past my difficulty with the inner blue button scratching though.

I kind of wish that it had a song selection list similar to what I've seen in guitar based games though. It's kind of annoying to have to make a playlist in order to play the songs I want to play.

The first round of DLC is kind of craptastic in my opinion. Looking forward to the David Guetta ones though (but maybe not the price).
