Do you eat green potato chips?

Im sure there's nothing wrong with eating green chips, but i dont eat them anyways. I guess the idea of a green anything when the rest are different colors says somethings wrong with it.

Unless it's a vegetable, I dont eat green anything. Does anyone remember when Heinz rolled out that ketchup with different colors (one of them being green)? I'm sure it probably tasted the same as normal ketchup but it looked absolutely hideous. No way I'm putting some green meta substance on my fries.

I forgot about colored ketchup. That was awesome. I think if gave you superpowers too, but since no one ate the stuff, no one got the powers.

You better have some sourdough/green onion dip with them chips. Also, is it just me or do the ones that are slightly burned a bit above the rest in the flavor factor?

Hmm guess breaking off just the green bit is in the minority. It's what I do. I think it's a combination of my being really picky, but also such a cheap ass that I don't want to toss the entire chip.
Green chips come from Potatoes that were exposed to the sun during the growing process. There's nothing wrong with them.
beat me to it. and yep, nothing wrong though the myths try to say otherwise

I just can't do it. I throw the whole chip out. If my bag has more than 1, I call the 800 number. They have yet to send me a free bag!
theres these guacamole chips that are pretty good.

they are green.
I guess if you eat these chips you have no idea if you are eating one of the green ones caused by the exposure to light. Out of sight, out of mind :)

Ewww. By thinking of this thread title makes me want to puke. I throw them out. I accidentally had a portion of one and it was the worst tasting thing in the world. I also do that to green fries.

I'm amazed that there's an almost mirror percentage of people that fully eat them as there are that don't, and the minority of people are the ones that break the green off and eat the rest.

You would think that would be the second place runner up.

There's a lot of people with courageous mouths on this board. Expiration dates, shmexpiration dates- Pfft.
Green potato chips contain poison:

From your link:
However, unless you are deliberately seeking out green potatoes to eat, you are unlikely to ingest enough of the toxin to do harm. The potatoes we buy contain such a minute amount of the chemical that a healthy adult would have to eat about 4-1/2 pounds at one sitting to experience any neurological symptoms.
All you people throwing away perfectly good food because of a little discoloring don't deserve to call yourself a cheapass. Quit being so picky and just eat it.
I don't think I've ever even seen a green chip that wasn't supposed to be that color.

I don't eat a lot of chips.
Same.
