I ordered a NGPC game off of eBay a few days ago. I can't link to eBay at work, so, I cannot provide the link to look it over. However, here's a snippet from the auction:
This is the auction of LIKE NEW NeoGeo Pocket Color Gals Fighters. Everything is in Perfect Condition. The manual and cartridge case are included. This game is hard to find. This is good for collector. ...etc.
The shipping fee is $3.
The game arrived today in a bubble mailer (NOOOOO!). I was worried as soon as I saw it.
Sure enough, the bottom half of the NGPC cardboard case (think GB/GBC/GBA boxes) was crushed. The bottom won't close anymore, either. Cart and manual were perfect. There was only one picture in the eBay auction, and the damage is all on the backside of the cardboard. So, I can't tell in the picture if it was already this way, or, if it got crushed in shipping (which it prolly did).
So, I emailed the seller, explained that the box was crushed, and asked for some sort of resolution. He said it was prolly crushed in the mail, and would offer $5 back.
Now, I have a few options...and would like to see what others think:
To be honest, this really bugs me. For the person to put "This game is hard to find. This is good for collector." they prolly know what kind of person is going to be bidding on a damn NGPC game! If I wanted a cart only, I could've paid a lot less for it. I paid more because I wanted a complete "perfect" package. To mail this in a bubble mailer was just a poor decision.
Thoughts?

- Take the $5. Leave positive feedback or neutral feedback (prolly positive).
- Don't take the $5. Leave a neutral or negative (prolly negative and explain a bubble mailer is terrible for a "collector" cardboard game box)
- Ask for a little more money back. The game was $24.99 + $3 shipping.
- File an "Item not as described" and return the game to try again in the future (not really wanting to go this route).
