Here is the complete list of Genesis games: Alex Kidd, Alien Storm, Altered Beast, Arrow Flash, Bonanza Brothers, Chakan, Columns, Columns 3, Comix Zone, Crack Down, Decap Attack, Ecco, Ecco 2, Ecco Jr., E-Swat, Eternal Champions, Fatal Labyrinth, Flicky, Gain Ground, Golden Axe (all three), Jewel Master, Kid Chameleon, Mean Bean Machine, Ristar, Shadow Dancer, Shinobi III, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic Spinball, Sonic the Hedgehog (1 & 2), Streets of Rage (all 3), The Ooze, Vectorman (1 & 2), and Virtua Fighter 2.

In addition to the Genesis titles, you also get 40 games that look like homemade jobs. These have names like Treasure Hunt, Spider, Cross the Road, and Mr. Balls. Most are puzzle/memory style games. I tried about six and couldn't stomach any of them. You'd need to be really bored to resort to these, but thanks to the fine selection of Genesis games, you'll never have to

I bought one from Rite-Aid for $30. I'm just a big fan of clones, even though I already have all three of the official models including the Majesco Genesis 3.
 
$35 for a Genesis emulator that will even let you use the original cartridges? Yes please.

More than worth it, IMHO. My Genesis (and related but not relevant) Sega CD have long since died or I'm missing cables to them. Looks like I'll be making a trip to Family Dollar to see if I can snag one of these.
 
Now if only it had an SD card slot like the "Sega Genesis Arcade Motion Dual," which has 40 games. I'd be all over this Sega Genesis Arcade Classic.

My local Walgreens has the "Sega Genesis Arcade Motion Deluxe." It doesn't have the SD card slot, 70 games for about the same price.
 
I already got the saga genesis collection game on Xbox so I don't need this. I couldn't even find it in my stores ad so oh well.
 
Based on the fact that everyone is saying best buy has stacks left and this newegg sale looks a bit desperate, I'll wait for 10-20. Wii games are already depreciating despite the wii u backwards comparability.

Problem is the link in OP, after putting in my zip code, I did not find the console in the weekly flyer, do you know if this product is carried in all stores?

I think $35 is a pretty good deal, given MSRP of $60, and that it has wireless controllers, with two wired controller ports and can actually play (some) carts.

I saw this at my local Fred Meyer yesterday (who wanted $80) - be advised: the wireless controllers are infrared! No idea if they're crap or not, but don't expect miracles.

Haha, nope. Nintendo would NEVER allow it. There are plenty of clone NES & SNES systems out there already though, a buddy of mine got a Retron 3 and it works great for SNES. Not sure if it works with Super FX chip games like Star Fox, though.

edit: Also, not sure I'd recommend this to anyone who's just interested in the built-in games. I'd still grab one for like, five bucks just for the novelty of it, but if you have a 360, PS2, PS3 or PSP, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection and Sega Genesis Collection cover most of those games and more.
 
might be in for this, I sold my original Sega. I don't know if I would ever play it though. I have all the Sega roms on my laptop.
 
There is already SNES emulating consoles. The best out is the RetroDuo which also plays NES cartridges. I own two and they work perfectly.
 
I went in to the local Family dollar stores (never knew they existed) in the weekend, they didn't have it yet but they knew what I was talking about and said to call back this week, they are expecting shipment soon.

Also went into local rite aid and found they have a stack of this but selling at $40 (they also have the flashback 4).
 
Some of these preloaded retro systems have a reputation for being cheap junk with a short lifespan. Is this one of the good ones?
 
I have wireless controller for my classic system but I might grab one of these to avoid wear and tear.

My ad also has the Atari Flashback 4 for $35.
 
FYI, for those who have both the new Genesis clone system with the wireless Genesis controllers and the previous AtGames release that looks like Sonic's head that takes SD cards, the wireless Genesis controllers will work with that system too. However, the main problem with the wireless Genesis controllers is that if the signal gets blocked at any point, they won't work. The controllers that came with the one that looked like Sonic's head were shaped like Wii controllers, but they worked much better and from several feet away.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm sure this will sound like a lot of rambling...
 
Just to reiterate, I have just brought the classic console ($32+tax after coupon) and indeed the IR wireless controllers are not very good. Unless you have the console setup higher than your controller level and within about +/- 5 degrees from the senor, you might experience drop outs.

After playing with the classic console, I tested both a mega-drive (EU) version of Phantasy Stars II cart (loaded my save file no problems, did not try to save game) and a genesis (US) version of Tyrans cart, both worked fine, except for the expected low sound quality. It is tempting to have a cheap console for my young kids to mess with, but for $35, I think we can do better.

As a last resort, I think it is worth the purchase, but for me, I already have multiple versions of the orignal console, and my kids are not dedicated enough to work well with the crappy controller, I think I'll return it.

The "Sonic's head" looking console josekortez mentioned is called "Sega Genesis Arcade Motion Dual", it does have RF wireless controllers and from youtube reviews, it does seem to work much better than the classic console's IR controllers. Yeah, the Arcade Motion with the 40 games on it that includes the SD card slot is a much better deal. I bought it right before Christmas last year, and it saved the holidays for me when I was stuck at Grandma's with none of my other systems handy. It's really good for games that use the 3 button controls like Ghouls and Ghosts and NBA Jam, but none of the six button games like Street Fighter II: Championship Edition or Zombies Ate My Neighbor will work with it since it only has 4 face buttons. But, once you get the hang of loading an emulator onto it and just dialing up games, it's a much better value.
