Favorite Stone Temple Pilots album

I've never gotten around to listening to them, even though I bought the first four at a garage sale.

Maybe I should begin working on my backlog of cheap CDs... :)

it's hard to argue with an album that has"down" directly followed with "heaven & hot rods", so i'd say No. 4, even though the first four albums are all totally worth owning.

Me too. I've got about 6 or 7 CDs I've owned for months and haven't listened to yet.

No.4 is excellent. EXCELLENT. When I bought it, it came in a cardboard case. I rebought it because my copy was scratched to hell. This copy was in a jewel case. This time I ripped the CD to my PC so it'll always work.

My copy of No. 4 is in a jewel case as well. I got it from BMG way back when I thought their "12 CD's for the price of 1" deal was worth all the junk mail and shitty "album of the month" selections I had to send back to them.

One of the greatest bands of all time in my opinion. Awesome sound, awesome lyrics and tremendous range. Sucks that they won't be making anymore albums, they're all great.

I gotta go with Core, though Purple is equally deserving.

Too bad you don't hear how great this band truly is.......what do you listen to that in your opinion is "great"?

Stone Temple Pilots is without a doubt one of the greatest rock bands to have ever graced the face of the earth.

Core? CORE?!!! Come on, core was great, showed a lot of promise but Purple was by far the best. Yeah, it didnt hit like a freight train like Core did but thats a good thing. Much deeper lyrics, more introverted. Id say its one of the best albums of its time, no question. My only compaint (and its small) is they grouped it wrong. It got a little too slow at points so thats why I remixed the order myself. Ah.... I love my purple.

I am a huge fan of the group, so I liked all of their albums, but No. 4 was my favorite of all. I love how it starts off with basically a kick in the nuts, and then keeps going.

I picked up the Velvet Revolver cd and I am really digging it as well.
