I'm assuming it wasn't cracked when you bought it?

I'm'a go out on a limb here and say that they most certainly will not be exchanging it.

I think when you asked about a warranty they referred to the warranty you have to buy for $3. If you didn't buy that then you only have 14 days to return and I don't think they will accept a cracked game without a warranty.
does gamestop sell that warrant or just EBgames?
Only EB offers tha warranty.

The OP is correct about the 90-day defective exchange warranty, but it doesn't cover broken discs.

Well, if it broke due to normal usage, than I'd say it's a manufacturers defect in the disk. If you broke it....then lie. lie. lie.
anyone know if online they have their polocies written out?
If you bought it online then it was probably "damaged" in shipping. Call up the help number and they should mail you a prepaid envelope to ship it back in, assuming of course it's still under the guarantee period which I think is up to 90 days.

update:
called gamestop and said there was nothing they could do. Went to another gamestop welll at the mall and was talking to the guy and told him how the other employee compared there return policy to EBGames Warranty and he said he'd defect the game for me... so i put half on Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks and half on Digital Devil Saga 2.

Best Buy once took back a broken disc for me. For whatever reason, a tiny little piece chipped out of the edge. It really makes no sense, since it hadn't been out of my computer since I bought it.

Best of luck with Gamespot, I've found them to be decent with stuff like this (at least for online used games).
