Halo 3 and Halo: Reach - 4 Player Split Screen in Campaign

The Ebbtide

CAGiversary!
This is a few years too late, especially for Halo 3, and people may have already known this, but I just saw videos on this and figured I'd show them so people can try it out if they're interested.

In Halo 3 and Reach you can only have two people playing per console in the campaigns, but people have found ways to trick the game, allowing you to have 3 or 4 players instead. There is slowdown, and in Halo 3 the game will crash anytime Cortana appears in her 'nightmare' visions if there are 3 players...though oddly it doesn't crash when there are 4 players. It just freezes, but then resumes seconds later.

If you have friends, roommates, siblings or kids, this will let you play with more people if you prefer to play campaigns over multiplayer or deathmatches.

These videos all follow the same steps, but I'll post each of them just for reference.

Halo 3 - 3 Player Split Screen Cooperative
(as above, this will crash your game on any level where Rampant Cortana flashes on the screen - there are a few levels listed in the description of the video where this does not happen)

I don't know if this works in ODST.

i remember reading about this with Halo 3, tried to get it to work but the timing is a bit difficult. Cool to see it works in Halo Reach also.

Nothing beats playing games on the same screen with 3 of your friends. Very cool
