I'm selling my Wii, so I need to know how much shipping would be. I'm assuming it isn't THAT much, as the system is pretty tiny.

I sold one awhile ago. I couldn't believe how much it cost. It was about $33 with insurance/box. Granted it went from FL to CA. This was UPS.

Damn... that seems like a lot.

If you're packing it yourself then I'd recommend FedEx Ground. I use them for anything over 6 pounds that can't be shipped as media mail.

I just sent a 12 pound box (20"x10"x8") from IL to CA for $14.xx. It takes anywhere from 2-6 days but I've never had an issue with the service.

The Wii package will only be a few pounds, though. I'm thinking Priority mail, as that's what my latest (and best) offer requested. I checked the USPS site, and it looks like I could just use one of those priority mail boxes and get away with paying around $10.

If you've already decided on Priority Mail, why don't you just calculate the postage on the USPS website and just kind of guess at the weight?

Just put in a high estimate of 5 pounds, so if it's under, you save money.

Good luck with trying to get it at $10 with Priority Mail with decent packing - Priority Mail got hit hard by the rate changes.

A package that was 3 pounds 6 oz just cost me $12.xx to ship.

Is that small enough to fit in their flat weight box? Cause it would charge the same regardless of the weight

I sold a Wii a few months ago and shipped it via Priority. I put it in a medium sized box filled with packing peanuts, insured it, and used signature confirmation. I think it was a shade over $30 but this was before the new rates took place.

If you don't plan to send the box and stuff, then you could probably fit everything inside one of those flat rate boxes.

The costs on priority have definitely changed. It's ridiculous. and it's also really based on how far it's going. I live in Northern VA. To send a 7 pound package to NY costs under $9. To get it to San Franciso costs $19. So if you're listing it on eBay, I would put one of those shipping calculators in your auction. Doing anything else would be silly.

I'm going to try to get him to use UPS instead. It should be significantly cheaper.

I want to ship it in the box simply because it would be a lot more secure than sending it in just a regular flat rate box.

As stated by a previous poster, fedex ground will be the cheapest way. I ship many packages weekly, and fedex is way cheaper than ups, and all their packages are insured.
