Humble Bundle Thread

I like Steel Rising in there and have wanted to try Bravery and Greed for a while. The loddlenaut game looks like it might be fun for my daughter when she's old enough.

Not a fan of having Mediterranea Inferno included. I'd rather just have them keep it to fun games that don't push any particular political agenda rather than the bundles being used to disseminate LGBT q propoganda.

Steelrising is an alternate history take on the French Revolution, one of the most well-known political uprisings of the last 300 years. So you have no problem with politics in video games. You just hate when games remind you that queer people exist.

Metroidvania Mania

$14 Tier

9 Years of Shadows
Axiom Verge 2
Cookie Cutter
Death's Gambit: Afterlife
Ghost Song

$6 Tier

Axiom Verge
The Knight Witch

* COUPON 50% OFF Death's Gambit: Afterlife - Ashes of Vados (Meh)

Solid bundle although I may own too much of this to go in on it.

That is a great bundle but I own every one of those Metroidvania games on Steam, Switch, PS4 or Xbox already.

Might actually pick up this months Humble Choice for the first time. I'd really like to get Hi-Fi Rush for Steam Deck.
I'm going to wait and see if they pass along a discounted offer towards the end of the month.

So much overlap with Fanatical these days, I'm guessing the bundle sites are having issues finding more games to bundle so everything gets recycled.

Anyway, I already had 4 of the games from the Metroidvania bundle so I had to do a split, otherwise $14 would've been a bit steep for the games I'm missing. Also, Cookie Cutter is a good game but it's marred by some annoying bugs.. one of them being the map bug. It likes to erase parts of the map that you've discovered which might confuse you if you can't remember where you've been. Not sure if it got fixed since I played it a couple of months ago.

I think I only don't own Ghost Song so this bundle is a no go. I'm noticing a lot of overlap with Fanatical for sure. Plat bundles are generally equal to Humble Bundles nowadays with similar titles. Humble still gets bigger hitters like Axiom Verge, but the other lower stuff is being recycled more often than not.

What particular political agenda does Steel Rising push? Games can be about politics without skewing into cultural propaganda. A perfect example would be Crusader Kings, which is literally entirely politics but can't be said to push any agenda. It seems like you want to make personal attacks because you can only see one side of an issue. If they were to bundle something like Acquitted, I'd certainly love getting that game myself, but I'd also understand why some other people might object and would prefer not to have politically charged games in a subscription-based bundle. That's why I think it would be best for them to aim for games with universal appeal rather than games that will end up alienating one segment or the other.

So there's no problem with universal representation then, since it's all about the universal appeal.

Who's being alienated by what, specifically.

Can't we all just agree it looks like pretentious shit? :bouncy:
Not digging the artstyle at all.
Looks like a worse Milky Way Prince, which I haven't played either. I just hate that the text is hard to read. It's a visual novel and the text should be good to read. I'll try it out likely, but I have 0 expectations for it. It looks like the type of visual novel that would be in an Indiegala bundle and not be the best game in it haha.

Humble The Monster Hunter World & Rise Saga Bundle

$10 TIER
Monster Hunter Rise
Monster Hunter Rise Deluxe Kit

$20 TIER
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Deluxe Kit

$25 TIER
Monster Hunter World
Monster Hunter World Deluxe Kit

$30 TIER
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Deluxe Kit

Not a bad deal if you don't own anything from these two games. But I know Monster Hunter World's been bundled multiple times, and even Monster Hunter Rise has been bundled at least once. And they stuck Iceborne in the most expensive tier too. LOL

Hmmm...

Well, I do need MSH World & Iceborne in full.
And I only need MS Rise: Sunbreak expansion, since I already have MS Rise base-game.

Brutal Beat 'Em Ups

NOTE - All Steam keys.

$8 Tier:
- Battletoads (2020)
- River City Girls 0
- Bud Spencer & Terence Hill: Slaps & Beans

$15 Tier:
- Bud Spencer & Terence Hill: Slaps & Beans 2
- River City Girls 1

$20 Tier:
- River City Girls 2
- Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons

Battletoads SUCKS imho, as I couldn't stand the multiple tunnel sequences and was getting bored/frustrated quickly when I played it on Gamepass. Really only need River City Girls 0 and Slap Beans 2 (though I own the first only on PSN). Likely a bit too much just for those two, but I'll see what I do.

Battletoads looked amusing in the YT highlights I’ve seen, but maybe not $8 amusing. The only other thing I’m remotely interested in here is DDG, which I picked up the PS4 version of a while back. Well, Shin Nekketsu Kouha: Kunio-tachi no Banka (“RCG0”) is a fine game, but not the kind of thing I wanna launch Steam to play.

Wow that’s a lot of local co-op fun to be had for $20, almost all of these are on my wishlist, and the only one I already own is River City Girls 1. Instant buy 👍

PO'ed: Definitive is a 10% discount code, which pretty much was the launch discount. This is a good bundle if you've never gotten any of the remasters. I'm missing Turok 3, ROTT and Forsaken (don't care about this last one). I think this will be a pass for me. If PO'ed was included I'd go for it I'm guessing.

Whoops, let me fix that. I missed that (on PO'ed being a coupon) and thought it was the actual game. Meh.

EDIT - I'm missing PowerSlave Exumed, Forsaken RM, ROTT: LE, and Turok 3.

I've got just enough of those to make it a tough buy.

I don't think I realized PO'ed was being remastered though. I own the original 3DO version. It really entertained a 30-year younger me. 3D shooters with meat cleavers and jetpacks weren't exactly a dime a dozen in those days.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ft. The Last Ronin

NOTE: This is a Kobo key

$18 Tier

TMNT: The Last Ronin
TMNT Volume 7-15

$10 Tier

TMNT Volume 2-6

$1 Tier

TMNT Volume 1

The tiers are generally worthless as this seems like an all or nothing bundle. I have read up to volume 6 I believe. The series is quite good and the art, story and characters are all very decent. The Last Ronin has a game and a live action R rated movie coming for it, so a good thing to get as well. This was my favorite IDW series other than the Transformers stuff when I read comics more often.
