Is Viewtiful Joe 2 better than part 1?

I recently played part 1 on my Cube for ~5 hours. I thought it was too repetitive and boring.

I also have part 2 for my PS2. I imagine VJ2 is just more of the same? If yes, I'm going to sell it un-opened on ebay.

Personally, I've beaten the first game twice and I still haven't beaten the second. I thought 2 was more tedious and frustrating then 1 but I can't quite pinpoint why. Maybe it's because 2 just didn't add that much new content or improvements. After a while it felt like a chore just to finish. You'll probably be better off just selling it sealed if you didn't like the first one.

You thought VJ was repetitive? I never once thought it was repetitive...

But if you don't like the first one, you probably won't like the second very much.

no, VJ2 is worse than VJ1, it adds nothing new except for 1 new power and more Sylvia. And if you thought Sylvia was annoying the 1st game, you ain't see nothing yet, as she is a playable character she is in most every...single...cutscene. ugh, there needs to be a smiley of the smile guy blowing his own brains out. Also the 2nd one is more puzzle focused, and some of the logic of these puzzle ranks up there with Resident Evil in obscurity.

For me, a sequel *should* be more of the same. I get annoyed when Part 2 looks totally different from the first one (and ends up sucking).

I thought VJ1 was boring because it was the same thing over-and-over - hit the bad guys, hit the bad guys, hit the bad guys. After a while, smashing the A button just gets dull.

I was surprised when I saw I had two different versions - one for the Cube and the PS2! I buy so much stuff, I forget what I've got!

Basically, if you didn't like VJ1, I don't see how there is any way you could possibly like VJ2.

I'm gunna go ahead and guess you never got a very high rank in the game...?

Why is it necessary to insult me? All I said was, "I don't like Action RPGs" and you insult me?

Why?

Viewitful Joe is not an Action-rpg. It is a straight up beat-em up with slight puzzle elements.

Why must you always post the same thing twice, and change one or two sentences?

Why?
