I saw this display at my local video store and obviously was very excited.
As you can see, my neighbors don't seem to share my excitement as the DVDs remain unrented.

I doubt people here would be renting the Knight Rider series too Cheapy. I wonder where The Dukes of Hazzard, Cosby Show and Webster are?

What are you talking about?! Knight Rider was the coolest show ever! That's it! Your geek card has been revoked!

Miami Vice = Best Cop Show....Ever.

Knight Rider = Best Cop Show Ever...when you're 10 :)

A-Team.....seriously, how many times can you see the same jeep flip over the same "bush" before you go utterly insane..!??!?!? And why can't anyone trained in the army, including the "crack commando unit" themselves, hit the broad side of a barn with a firearm? I mean, I can understand 8000 shots fired and nobody hit in a GI JOE Cartoon but YEESH. :)

Three Reasons why Knight Rider failed in Japan:

1) Kitt didn't speak in the voice of a squeaky 14 year old girl

2) Kitt did not transform into a robot

3) Michael Knight did not have:
- Blue Spikey Hair
- A comedic buffoon sidekick...either a monkey or a poor, fat guy
- An old, wise japanese Karate master with a Bo Staff to give him his missions
- A Sword that was larger than he was

Had these grevious oversights been corrected, I can see this show skyrocketing to #1!

:)

He DID however have a Members Only Jacket on quite a bit of the time, and frankly..that should have gotten him on in syndication for the kitch value alone... :)

As for Miami Vice....its hard to top this show. You can watch it and just laugh at the stereotypes (check out season II's episode that has Suicidal Tendencies playing as a bar-band while the "bar" is filled with 80's fashion freaks dancing like they're listening to Whitney Houston) and fashion, but you can also watch it as an entertaining and engaging show. There's great supporting characters and its not the same show every single episode. Sure you can bust on the kitch of it all, but really...its a damn good show. CSI is also a good show, with great twists, but at the same time....who believes that cops and invesigators work in neon-lit darkened labs? with magical supercomputers??

Crockett and Tubbs man...they had plain old desks..... ;)

Who could tell that back then the show would be such a perfect 80's Stereotype timecapsule :)

Nice. They should hire him to tear down the giant Guide button on the ceiling of the 360 cafe in harajuku they're shutting down. (I wonder what will squirt out from underneath...?)
