I know there is no "official" download since NCAA players aren't licensed but does anyone know of a site where you can get this? Or does someone have a roster file I could copy?

Just curious. On prior years I've gone in and named the players myself for my favorite schools (Notre Dame and Kansas State) but it's so time consuming and I'd really like to do it for all 119 Division 1 schools.

THANKS!

Yep, you can download rosters at maddenmania and operartion sports. You download the file to your pc, transfer it to your usb flash drive and then plug it in your ps3. Finally just save the file to PS3 and your in business.

Another reason why I love PS3 is situations like this you don't have spend $50+ on memory cards and transfer kits and shit. Some die-hard does all the names and stuff saves that roster file, very easily transfers it to his computer on pretty much any type of media then anyone can download it and transfer it to their PS3 with pretty much any type of media.

I hope the die-hards go crazy with Pro Evo 08. I believe Konami or someone stating PS3 is the lead platform plus it will be easy to get rosters and stuff.

When I plug my memory stick into the PS3 it will only display the digital photos stored on it. Is there something special I need to do to get the roster data in the right place? (Sorry to be such a noob at this).

If you did it right, you should just need to do to the save utility folder in the game section of the XMB and you should be able to copy it from there.

I think that was my mistake. The first time I did it I didn't leave the file structure in tact and tried to just transfer the "contents". My PS3 would not recognize it.

That'll do it.
Now I'm wondering if I can incorporate the new roster into the dynasty I started or if I will have to start a new one.
You have to start a new one.

Yeah, it is so easy to download rosters on PS3 compared to some old ways of doing it on other consoles. I loved using my Action Replay for NCAA and MVP rosters on Xbox and just using my flash drive is even easier with the PS3.

Thanks everyone. I started a new dynasty and it's 10x better with all of the real player names! I'm surprised at how many names the system recognizes and says during the game.

I can't wait for Pro Evo Soccer 2008. PS3 is the lead platform, other consoles will be ports, the graphics will be on par with Fifa(which is a nice change), and the customization options from screenshots look to be as deep as previous iterations and not some Pro Evo 6 Xbox 360 b/s.

I can't wait until next year's MLB, NCAA, and NFL games on the PS3. With another year under their belts the developers should be able to crank up the graphics (and hopefully hit 60fps!)

WE/PES is taken care of very well in the roster aspect by community members. I've only played WE9, but people did all of the player, created kits and the emblems for the teams. Check out pesfan.com when it comes out or now, they do a really good job with the rosters and customization.

Yay! Use pictures to create faces like in Tiger Woods 2008! I can't wait until some die-hards upload every player in all the leagues and get em perfect. It will be as simple as downloading a file that will probably take about maybe 3 minutes at most to download. Stick my SD card into my PS3. And wa lah. With the 360, ugh that would be a whole process.
Soccer:puke:I just don't understand the fascination with that sport. That and NASCAR...
I used to feel the same way, but watching soccer when talented (mostly non-MLS) players are going at it is fascinating. Some of the things they do with a ball is ridiculous, that's what really got me hooked on wanting to watch it outside of the world cup. But soccer games have always been fun, IMO, even before I actually started liking watching real games.

NASCAR on the other hand. :puke: (except for the final 10 laps in a tight race in stunning HD). :D

I don't get Nascar either. But watch some Serie A, Spanish Primera, English premiership soccer and you will change your mind.
