Hm, might have to make one of my once in a great while MacDo trips. I pretty much only get a Happy Meal when I go. It's just enough McDonalds not to get me sick and they are reasonably priced.. So, when was it cool to start charging like $6.50, with tax, for a fucking value menu combo?

My favorite ad campaign by the good folks at McDonalds was their Black365 campaign - no longer would we be cruelly oppressed by the empty tonal ring of, "Black Month!"... Now it's time to celebrate your heritage every damn day, excepting leap year - and McDonalds wants to be a big part of that cultural exploration, right by your side/

Although, and I am being completely serious, they did release "Asian Month" right around that time. If they would have had some brassy balls they should have called it "Oriental Month" - sell a lot more oriental salads. Hm, what does this tell us? Could Native American Hour be far off?

^ I agree about the prices. A hamburger happy meal used to be $1.99. Now it's getting close to $3. When I do go to McDonald's I only order off the dollar menu. Double Cheeseburger, small fries and a small soda for under $3. Much better than paying almost $5 for even the cheapest value meal item and since most McDonalds have free refills you don't need the larger soda cup in the value meal.

I also hate how they got rid of the super size menu. It was a much better value to order a super size fry for under $2 for 3 people to split than to order 3 small fry orders or a large and a small order of fries.

I got to get both of the Yoshi toys to add to my collection of Yoshi items. I'll probably just buy the toys seperate (I think they are around $1) rather than get the food since happy meals seem to be a ripoff.

You have Super Size Me to thank for that.

Mmm now I crave McDonald's.. preferably in Japan or someplace in Asia (or where the food is different than the US..).

But sweet Nintendo toys.. I'd go for the Yoshi too.. and the blow up hammer. It's cool at the website they have a game on how to play the Mario Bro. song on the keyboard.. although it is online, on your keyboard labeled QWERTYUIOP24 etc.

Those are pretty sweet. But unfortunately I face the same challenge as when they had the Jack Sparrow lego guy (which I wanted) and that is .. how do I as a 26 year old male, justify a purchase of a happy meal?

Sweet! This guy that really likes my friend works at the McDonald's down the street. Time to flirt for some free crap again :D

Clamp it on the leg of random people and take photos, once and for all proving that Yoshi, does in fact, hump legs.

No need to prove common knowledge!

Like someone suggested: drive-through.

I'd go out to lunch with co-workers about a year ago and get a happy meal and eat it in the restaurant with them. Then I'd take the toy home for my (then) two year old. If anyone questions, you're getting the toy for a friend's kid or something.

Where I draw the line at is what I have seen some of my friends do: get a regular meal and then buy three toys separately. Not because it seems silly to do as an adult, just because it practically screams out, "I'm getting these for my two kids: E and Bay."

And they missed the obvious: a Samus Aran ball! It could light up or just bounce or be shiny. Because when you think of Nintendo characters associated with balls, you first think of Mario, right? (Wow - that came out wrong!)

The world needs more Samus, period...

no one's gonna give you that look because you're too old for Happy Meal. I order some when they got those mini-Teddy Bears.

but if they gave me the look, I'll give them a mad stare and say: "gotta problem biatc#?"

How large is this Yoshi leg humper thing?

The Mario ball is the only one I really want. That one is TIGHT!

These pale in comparison to the old-school Nintendo Happy Meal toys, though. Remember like, what, '89 or '90 or so, they had the cool wind-up toys and the Mario with the suction cup that would bounce up (flying)? I remember McDonalds came to our school back then (I was in like 1st grade) and gave everyone a couple of free toys. I had my Mario one up until a few years back, don't know what happened to it. Regardless, that stuff >>> the new stuff in a huge way.
