Playing PAL games on a North American Dreamcast

I know you need a boot disk. I have the Utopia one (not sure which version, about 2 years old) Is there anything better?

I would have to say thats fine...they stopped making games for DC a long time ago...So you wouldnt need any updated version...If it plays what you want then its fine right?

Utopia has always handled all of my import game needs. THe most recent thing I bought was the European version of Shenmue 2 and my old Utopia disk (also at least 2 years old) handles that fine.

Don't know about Japan, but I know it came out in Europe.

Another stupid question, can you save pal games on a NA DC?

yes u can save.

some games dont even need the boot disk, there is a menu for which region u want when its starts, i know RE:CV had it not sure what eles tho

Evil Twin was this cool game that never came out in the US...Its a platformer and it just looked SOO cool...I still havent imported it cuz my DC isnt here yet

any gameshark or codebreaker works fine to boot PAL games.

About the only thing you can't do is play a PAL game with the NTSC Dreamcast VGA adapter. I have 3 PAL games that won't play on my system unless I plug in a TV.
