PSP as a comic book viewer?

CAGiversary!
Quick question I'd like to pose to you guys, does the PSP work well as a comic book viewer with .cbr files? Can I view these through the photo viewer or are there better 3rd party apps? Any recommendations? I started reading Civil War and this would be a great way to get through the series without damaging the books

Thanks

Go and grab PSPhoto... Not sure if it has been updated in a while but if you search you can find it. It resizes the images to fit onto your PSP better and even allows you to lower the file size a bit. That is best for people with smaller memory sticks because it allows you to get more on them with a little bit of quality lose.

You can just drag and drop the .cbr and it will create a new folder which you can then copy to the PSP.... It might even do it directly via USB but I don't have mine set for that.

I tried this before, but it works very badly most of the time. Like HuBu said, the text is extremely small and hard to read, even if you zoom it in. Only comic that I found worked well with the PSP was Death Jr, but that was because it was specifically formatted for it.

The trick is to not try and wedge the images onto the screen. There really isn't a smooth way of reducing the images into the same dimentions of the PSP's screen completely. Just get it down enough so you can read, and don't have to move the viewer to much.

I used it to 75% compression (before I got a 4GB) and had to scroll around to view the page but it was readable.

I just finished reading the entire run of Preacher on my PSP. I used PSPhoto to convert the .cbr files, and then I used Jview to view them. Worked like a charm.
