Rock Band Bundle (Wii) $139.99 shipped at Amazon
It's a shame that the Wii version is the worst one out there.
While it lacks in nearly every category... I think it has better hardware (ie: sturdier kick pedal and wireless).

its a sale, not a price cut

You don't have a sale a few weeks after you release a product unless the product is absolutely positively not selling. Which probably shouldn't come as a shock. Unlike the PS2 version you don't have the prospect of later being able to upgrade to the full-featured PS3 version without having to buy new instruments. Even with that, and a larger user base, the PS2 version isn't selling very well. Which is why it only costs $99 now... making the Wii version an even harder sell in the process. I imagine quite a few Wii owners who don't have a PS3 or 360, do have a PS2. If you're choosing between PS2 and Wii versions it's pretty much a no-brainer. Moreover, you probably already have the PS2 version....

The drums are wireless on the Wii version?

Yeah, I suspect the wii version will hit 99 before xmas. I *might* pick it up then.

You know what would be cool? If you could mix and match and create your own extra song discs. The Jam Pack or whatever vol 1 is lame as shit.

I don't know why anyone would buy Rock Band for the Wii, now that Guitar Hero World Tour has been announced and is only about 3 months away.

the rock band folks said there was no DLC for wii because of the wii's limitations. Did the GH4 guys figure out a way to do it?

no, Harmonix was just lazy and wanted to make a half-assed port for the Wii

and considering they've been silent so far on DLC/online play for Rock Band 2 for the Wii, I wouldn't expect much online support for RB2 Wii either, if any...

Yes

I find it hard to believe that GHWT Wii has downloadable songs. "Content", perhaps, but not songs. You'd buy 10 songs and fill your 512 MB, and that's shared memory, you might fill it after 1 song, and then nothing is available for any other games. In fact, I can't imagine that Nintendo would allow it because that would mean you couldn't buy WiiWare and other things. It seems completely ludicrous. Maybe they let you buy outfits or guitar skins, something of that sort, something small, but not songs. Maybe I'll be proven wrong, though. Let's hope so.

Activision's solution is a combination of the Wii's internal storage + SD cards.

Also, all of the graphics in Rock Band are pre-rendered, so the way it's arranged at the moment you would have to download the video too, which the Wii's storage definitely wouldn't be able to handle.
