First thing i want to post (thanks xycury for bringing this up knew i forgot something)


Think of this place more of a RENTAL place.. You can play all of these games as long as you have a membership. As soon as you cancel you can no longer play any of the games you downloaded. Unlike bigfishgames where you OWN the games Here you are just RENTING THEM





I thought i would start this instead of keep posting in the bigfishgame topic I will try to update this every week giving people an idea of what new games come out each week...


Also it would be neat if other people who have shockwave to post what games they have found there that they like so others can know what they have to offer

also by joining the unlimited plan it give you access to all of the online games (about 2 to 4 new games per week online)

you also have access to their CLUB SHOCKWAVE where you can earn tokens to enter drawings (think bigfishgames) and they have scratches that you can win items (i never won anything yet)

I mostly spend all of my time with the downloads so i really havent had a chance to play any of the online games that much

very good deal for people who like these sort of games

again... I tend to thing that Flash/Shockwave games to be less than a game that's published retail.

More for time wasting, and similar to any games found on Iphone/Itouch

But if one has so much more time as to settle playing with these games, by all means go ahead.

Afterall, when all said and done.... yearly subscription, never owning anything...

Thanks xycury i knew there was something i was forgetting to post this is a more of a RENTAL type thing since you never own the games...

yea the site is a good time killer but if someone buys alot of these games i thought this might be a beter way.. Give you an example that the 3 games i already played and beat, it would of cost me between 21 to 30 bucks to BUY Them and i will never play them again so right there would of been half of the yearly rental price .... Hell i got 2 games off amazon before i found this and never play them anymore (shopmania and blocks or omething cost 7 for both) what i could of played both for free on this site : (

about a coming soon list..... They just started putting a coming soon topic up on their member side i think (dont know if free account can see it)

you can also play most of the online games for free with an free account
 
I have the yearly sub, started about a month or so ago. Between me and my wife the sub price is well worth it. These are mostly games that I would play through once and never go back to so not being able to keep them if I cancel is no big deal to me.

Currently playing from Shockwave:

Airport Mania - A pretty fun TM game.
Plants VS Zombies - Just started, have not gotten a good feel for it yet.
Garden Defense - An ok TD game
Samantha Swift and The Golden Touch - A so-so HO game

Have several others on my gonna DL list, mostly older stuff I've wanted to play but not pay $20 for.

For the two of us it is a pretty good deal.
 
this is what i figure.... once i play a game and either beat it or get bored with it i will never play it again.

I figure 5 per month is like little over 1.00 a week there are 3 to 5 games coming per week... So its like buying 1 of those games for 1.00 and the rest are free

this week game worth 1.00 plants vs zombies though it does get old very quickly and some levels are pain in the ass to beat (up to level 2-8 ,,, though 1-7 was a pain and 1-10)

last weeks game hard choice there cause i really did not like any but probally ice cream 2


2 weeks ago wandering (would of paid 10 for that alone)

and so on and so on.. so basic its like buying 1 game a week for a buck... since i will never play them again after i beat them its better to rent it.... Think gamefly meets bigfishgames : )


next weeks probally 2 games i would ike the tradewinds and Youda Marina i would buy both for a buck


WARNING THOUGH... keep a clock next to your computer or you will be shocked at how fast the time has flown...

was playing plants vs zombies and thought maybe 30 mins went by and it was almost 2 hours WOW lol
 
wow Plants vs zombies is a very good long game... about 4 to 5 hours into just beat stage 3

the extras are crazy. 20 unlockable mini games just got the 3rd one unlocked i could see this game being 20 to30 hours long..some stages are a major painin the ass though due to lack of sun

shocked they wouldnt put something like this out on Pure cd and charge 30 bucks for it

would be a great game for the ps3 xbox 360 online

well i used to go out to the movies and stuff like that BUT with movies now up to 12 bucks and the 2nd run place shutting down, gaming is about the only thing i have to do besides nightclubs.

probally last year went out 4 or 5 nights but this year so far maybe just on saturdays if that.....

: ) Funny thing you would say that about the toilet, i was hooked on that puzzle quest 2 game when it first came out that i took it into the bathroom... Nice thing is no1 wanted to touch my Ds after that LOL

3 Days: Zoo Mystery---------- sort of a newer game that was released on BFG (released may 10)
just another hidden objects game


Mevo and the Grooveriders-----------Use the left and right mouse buttons or the left and right shift keys to hit the correct note when Mevo touches it. Complete each level's goal to move on and don't let your life bar run out!


Mandragora ----Take a seed from the bottom panel and plant it into a hole in the ground. While the tree grows, water it and protect it from storms and insects using the tools from the toolbar on your left. Once the tree starts to bloom, take the pincers and crossbreed it with another flowering tree.

Quilting Time---- another game not on bfg-------Impress Grandma Giddywinks with your puzzle-solving skills. Use the shapes provided to complete your quilt block. Use the pieces already in place to find the pattern and complete the puzzle.
now this game is sort of interesting... you got to try to match up patterns .. While i would not say the game is worth much its sort of a fun game to play.... worth 50 cents to a buck...depend if you like these sort of games

So figure this week was worth 2 bucks of my 5 montly fee

I like shockwave. It's a pretty good deal. I am also liking these short casual games that I can get into and out of with little time invested (plus most are surprisingly non frustrating). I really don't have the time to play long RPG's anymore. I've been working on finishing Persona 3 for the last 1 1/2 years and I haven't even finished it yet! When you only have 3-4 hours a week to play that can happen pretty easily...
