Staples Deals Thread YMMV

CAGiversary!
Starting this thread to post some Staples gaming deals that have been popping up lately, primarily on the Staples app and its Easy Rewards program.

I just noticed the following in the Staples app under the Get Coupons tab (to get there, open the app, tap on the red circle at the bottom with the staple in it, then tap on "Get coupons" tab at the top):

$50 off all gaming consoles (Redeemable In-store Only)
Coupon is good on all consoles.

Went into my local Staples yesterday and noticed the following deal:

PS5 Slim Standard Console w disc drive $449.99 (Limit 1)
SKU 24588765 UPC 711719573364
Deal started 5/12/24 and deal ends 5/25/2024

It may be possible to stack the coupon with this PS5 deal. My nearby location still had other consoles in-stock, the PS5 Digital Edition console had a shelf tag of $399.99 and Nintendo Switch at $299.99.

Saw the following Switch titles marked on-sale in-store at my local Staples (Ends on 9/28/24):

Super Mario RPG $44.99
Super Mario Bros. Wonder $44.99
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe $44.99
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate $44.99
The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom $44.99

On clearance:
Kirby's Return To Dreamland $42.96
Nintendo Switch Sports $34.96
^Have a cashier scan these clearance titles, they might scan in lower.

Noticed the following title on clearance (hanging up in an electronics clearance section - not with the other games).

:switch:Fire Emblem Engage $19.46

As always, Staples Easy Rewards points can be used towards games.

Staples has some good recycling rewards going on right now. There's an offer in the app for 500 points per ink/toner cartridge (up to 10) so 5000 points = $25 in rewards. Also, depending on your rewards level, you can trade in 10-20 more cartridges per month for 100-400 points each. I don't know what drives this but I think it's tied to either how much you spend or how many inks you've traded in the past... For example, I get 400 points per cartridge up to 15 cartridges (6000 points = $30 rewards).

There's no longer a minimum spend amount to earn rewards and the points don't expire so you can stockpile them month to month. Points show up in the app and you can use them immediately, unlike the old rewards system where you would get rewards certs like a week later.

And don't forget to recycle a battery, USB cord, glue stick, etc. This is good for another 500 points ($2.50 rewards) once a month.

Saw the big box deluxe version of Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition on clearance for $40 at my local store. As always, YMMV.
