He's decent. Very quick, good agility. He has the unfortunate problem of looking like "enhancement talent" (even in ROH). Since his name is somewhat known, it doesn't hurt him that much, but he could do with a change (hairstyle, tights, I dunno). He damn near decapitated his tag partner in his match; my friend was very impressed with him. Personally, I think he has a lot of moves that look good visually, but I don't think he's very good at linking things together. He seems very focused on his "spots," and everything else in between is not developed (and becomes kinda meaningless).
At least he wasn't with that Daisy Haze woman; during his previous two matches, nobody was paying any attention to him due to her presense. Here's the worst kept secret about ultra-wrestling nerd purists: Put a woman in front of them, and they become living Tex Avery cartoons. Workrate can go shaq-fu itself if there is anything closely resembling an attractive woman near the ring. Take Tracy Brooks for example.
In sum, he looked good. He's got to change his look to get noticed more, and he needs to pay more attention to what moves he does between his spots. He's so young, though, that I see him being very capable of learning (given what he's shown he can do at his age).
myke.
...seriously, Tracy Brooks looks like she's 40 in person. Egads.
Thanks for the info. By enhancement talent you mean guys who are merely there to make others look good? Because I noticed that kid can make anything look painful, he takes great bumps. Yea he is only 21 so he has time to mature. I always thought his technical crap was pretty good, maybe it's gone down hill or been overlooked for his big spots.
Oh, he certainly does take a great beating. Since he's so young, I don't think I'd go so far as to say anything has gone "downhill," per se. Instead, he's probably learned to make sure he focuses on the moves he would do that people in the crowd remember (aka "high spots," if you prefer). It takes a fantastic wrestler to get in the high spots and deliver a fantastic match at the same time. It's not easy. As a matter of fact, I'm willing to say that most of Rob Van Dam's matches follow this method; certainly, Jeff Hardy is the poster boy of "I don't give a

unless it's a swanton bomb or whatever other twirly shit I do."
It's not easy to learn to "tell a story", but I imagine it's a difficult habit to break (the other method).
myke.
